Nice info here thanks for sharing. Ok so you saying the firmware update still *doesn't* solve this warning 29 ? ... Anyone else got feedback on this? By this point I can't help but begin to wonder if wea are dealing with a manufacturing/hardware defect?? No feedback or solutions have been convincing as yet Good to know this can be done! .. But that firmware selection is hela cryptic... how were you able to know with enough confidence which is the right one to choose? I'm not ready to take a chance unless I know a specific firmware is intended for the device and newer than the one already installed? You can say that again!!

I'm still experiencing the issue on my Dad's inverter and we're still battling to get hold of the installer. I was hoping to get one of these for myself as I was really impressed by first impression and am looking to upgrade from my Meanwell 24V inverter to a 48V hybrid, but am thinking twice now if it's going to be this difficult to upgrade the firmware

18650 Powerwall
Apart from what seems to be an issue with balancing & fusing of individual cells for each string, I really like the simplicity of this design! namely having a rack/cabinet with slats/shelves where you just slide in trays of the 18650's lying in strips of conduit.. I'm looking for something cheap and easy to maintain and this seems like a strong contender, as the usual 18650 cell spacers cost a fortune to import at the moment and make me question if the DIY route is even still worth it versus the price of just buying a complete lifepo battery... Have you made any changes to this, particularly for making it easier to balance the cells? The way you have it set up at the moment, there should be a conductor between each series connection of where the cells touch, if the cells were supposed to be properly balanced with a BMS... which would be an ideal place for fusing as well. Perhaps interrupting each section with some kind of spacer with spring contacts on each side which connect with a fuse wire to that conductor where the balance lead connects Maybe you could use another strip of trunking, but flipped 90 degrees (so vertically on the tray rather than horizontally) between each block of parallel cells... the "spring tension" of each wall of the trunking could help secure/snap the batteries in place although it would need to be pretty thick trunking to work properly. I saw someone use paper fasteners (eg https://www.croxley.co.za/product/croxley-25mm-paper-fasteners-pack-of-100s/) (which you can also buy in bulk for cheap) as battery contacts, which seems like a brilliant idea. you could then just drill some holes in the sides of the trunking for the fasteners which then connect to the fuses/buss bars. Pop rivets could also work? No, my installer wanted me to install SOLARMAN app, and I couldn't get the inverter to adopt in that app. I then managed to get it to work on the Luxpower app instead on my own (he's been too busy to help me as its christmas time...), but have no way of installing a firmware update from there. I don't think my installer knows what he's doing and now that I need the firmware update, I don't have proper access to my own equipment.. ffs. Apparently need to email luxpower. Really??..

LUXPOWER TEK Inverter EPS error
EPS Voltage refers to output voltage from the inverter. The EPS Voltage High error problem occurs for me when the inverter switches from Grid to battery backup. The inverter voltage can be set to either 208V, 220V, 230V, or 240V. I had it "correctly" set to 230V in accordance with nominal grid spec, but it seems this error occurs regardless of what the voltage is set to? Also, it seems to be correlated with load on the inverter. If there's no load, the error is easy to reproduce by simulating a grid outage. As soon as I put a fair amount of load (a 1000W hairdryer, for instance), then the inverter fails over to battery reliably. I don't really see what the input grid voltage has to do with any of this, unless I'm missing something of there's been a bit of a misunderstanding.. but I guess any tips are welcome in this struggle, lol

Luxpower 5kw hybrid inverters question
I used "the generic one", INF01, as per https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PPT1bY3mrXc . I think that belongs to Infinity Innovations Ltd though, so unlikely to be an official "generic" That being said, it worked, but I'd like to get installer-level permissions/control, to update firmware etc.. before contacting luxpower via email as recommended above. Perhaps one of you is an installer and wouldn't mind helping me out loading my inverter onto your account? Any other clues, please share xD

Luxpower SNA5000 WPV not charging when it needs to ?
How do you update the firmware?? 😐 mine isn't charging when in Lithium mode. just realized my installer set it up as lead-acid despite it being a lithium battery, and after correcting that and establishing comms with the battery, the inverter isn't charging the battery on mains despite correct settings

Similar problem here. I'm on cbaa-121613. Is this the latest? How can we upgrade, without bringing the installer into the equation? I bought this equipment so should be able to do this myself... 🤔?
