Advice needed: Pylontech DIP switch settings

Featured Replies

Good day

looking for a bit of help here. Sorry if it has been asked before.

ive got a kodak 5kw off grid inverter

and 1 pylontech up5000 battery.

just want to make sure my dip switch is correct.

what should dip seitch setting be when using the up5000 with the kodak og5.48.
and i will aslo be adding another battery in a month or so what should the changes in the settings be then.

ive also noted that with the bms cable connected the batery charges at 53.2v and stays there on float aswell. No problems so far with the bms connection. Just want to make sure all is well these things are so bloody expensive dont want to kill either one of them. Help on both questions will be highly appreciated

Switch is correct and if you have comms , all ok.

HOWEVER , I would suggest to set battery to USE mode and lower the bulk and float voltage to prolong battery life. Also , for me I saw 2-3 times that with the bulk at 53,2 the battery BMS indicated to high charge voltage, so I guess inverter spikes sometime.
Since then I've set my inverter to USEr mode , and put bulk voltage at 52,8 and float at 52. Since then no more alarms on pylontech BMS.

Great thank you very much.
if I add another up5000 battery. How do I set the dipswitch and charge amps. Leave them the same? And what setting on dip switch on battery number 2.

Sorry , on my US3000C the dips are upside down. I have DIP1 ON , 2-3-4 OFF.
Battery number 2 leave all OFF.

I have 4 batteries in parallel and only master has dip 1 ON for 9600bps the rest are off all.
But if you have comms on your inverter I guess they are OK like you have them now :)

If you're using battery type PYL and the cable, then there should be no need to change the maximum charge current setting, as the BMS will over-ride it, I believe.

hello

im getting different feedback on dip switch including pylontech distributor's site engineer, what do you think ?

note the following:

bat 1 pin 1 on 2-4 0ff

rest of the battires all of

the setup aligns some pylontec configuration where the master battery has a distinct setting, and slaves follow a uniform setting

thank you your advice in this matter
