So sad to see these kind of topics due to lack of documentation from the manufacturer. We're playing numbers and shooting aimless here without the changelog.

That distributor had no clue whatsoever with his statement of "it's just a change in version numbers". People really should make sure they know what they are talking about before spreading nonsense li

Good morning

Was there a particular reason for your request or was it just you wanted the latest software?

Regards

Good morning,

I experienced an intermittent disconnection with the wi-fi dongle and a bug with the ATS signal. The update solved the issues.

The inverter is already running for 3 years and I am very satisfied with it's performance.

Nice,

ATS for E-N relay I presume?

That's excellent run time!

Has anyone here asked Deye for a changelog of these firmware updates?

I receieved the attached firmware files from Deye support today but have not used them to upgrade (SUN-8K-SG01LP1-EU). I was emailing them about a once-off (so far) F18 error which they say was a false alarm, then offered to upgrade my firmware. I asked for the files so that I could choose a convenient time, but also there aren't any issues with the inverter so don't want to fiddle with it. Use at own risk.

How are you requesting these files? I've tried to request for firmware files due to some of my installations are offline, they seems ignoring my request.

Do you have a special contact with them?

Nothing special, the normal [email protected] email. It probably depends who you get on the other side.

I haven't been able to use these files though, the SolarMan and Deye apps don't give the option to upload a file, SolarMan website says "Firmware upgrade function is currently not available", the Logger webUI also just does nothing when I try to upgrade. Not too fussed though, nothing to fix atm.

Instruction:
1. Go to the IP address of the WiFi module of the inverter, login data admin\admin
2. On the left, click the Update inverter item (the inverter itself, not the firmware)
3. Insert MCU1-SG-Ver0000-C366-CK.bin as the first file, click upgrade. We wait for 5 minutes.
4. After rebooting, repeat the procedure, but now take the file SG_5K_MCU2_V3384-NR.bin

All. The procedure is completed :) The inverter will reboot itself and will work already on a new firmware

Is it possible to upgrade software SUN-3.6K-SG03LP1-EU to SG_5K_MCU2_V3384-NR.bin  ?

I dont have files, But the SUN-8K-SG01LP1-EU I have was just updated to C36C/6026-1724

Dont have the files. I am trying to get the grid tie solar meter to work (currently it reports 2.1x kW when the meter is not reporting that.)

Its connected to the meter connection and if I try to use it as a grid meter it reads it correctly

I have a DEYE 5KW inverter which works like a charm.
My only complaint is that the "ON" SOC% for Smartload is fixed to 100%.
The inverter won't allow me to change the value and I can only change the "OFF" SOC%.

The inverter was installed in Feb 2024 and is running the default firmware that came with the unit:
HMI: Ver 0000-C362
MAIN: VER 0-3382-1515

Does anybody by chance know if a newer firmware update unlocks the option to set the "ON" SOC% for smartload?
If that option is not available in the latest firmware, I will just leave the inverter as is.

If it's like the Sunsynk (same OEM) there needs to be a minimum of 5% difference between ON and OFF SoC for Aux/SmartLoad, so for example try dropping OFF to 90% and then ON can be 95% or higher.

I did not know about the 5% difference!
I had my OFF set to 95% and dropped it to 90%, and was then able to set the ON % to 95%.

You're a lifesaver 🙂

Updated recently by mailing Deye, fixed an F18 error I kept having (although then loadshedding went away so might still have the issue)..
