October 2, 20232 yr With regards to Solar Assistant, can you get notifications? For example when the batteries are low or any notifications for that matter, hat is my mother's main concern at this moment. The system that is installed is great but not completely optimal, yet, until she has saved more she wants to manage the system a bit more retro(switching off the geyser, etc.) i currently have solar assistant connected to home assistant. then i set up notifcations to let me know when the battery levels are at a certain percentage. but if you can wait, solar assistant will release alerts soon. Coming soon: Configurable alerts/email notifications (November 2023).
October 2, 20232 yr This is how I have connected SA and the Battery inside the Deye 5kw inverter. The yellow cable goes to the battery, the black cable goes to the SA Pi. But you need to order a special cable from SA to do this. MdF Is your CT still sitting there, or did you moved it to your main incomer in the DB?
October 2, 20232 yr Is your CT still sitting there, or did you moved it to your main incomer in the DB? The CT is installed and wired correctly, it is just where it is inside the inverter as there was no more space inside the DB when the system was installed. It had to be located there. MdF
December 2, 20241 yr Solar Assistant is cool. I have one on the way. But no one has mentioned Deye Cloud?
December 2, 20241 yr @Derekvdm If you want to automate some items (pool pump, geyser, HP, A/C etc), I highly recommend going the https://smarthomeintegrations.co.za/ route, together with Have a look under the Home Automation section. Plenty of topics around this. Especially if you have an old PC/Laptop lying around.

I use Deye Cloud to check on the system as the graphs are prettier. Both of those update every 5 to 6 minutes, Just installed Solar Assistant but don't have enough data yet for it to be very useful.
