September 16, 20223 yr EDIT: Updated for the whole of September 2022. September 2022 been an excellent month for Solar yields (very few clouds) I'm running at 2.5% Grid_in_kWh, 97.5% Self_kWh The small 0.3kWh per day (~12w) grid_in is a trickle feed to prevent issues with prepaid meter. Not grid_out feeding yet. Self_kWh = Load_kWh - Grid_in_kWh Data from Solar-Assistant, Grafana dashboards Post your stats below EDIT: What made a difference for me was changing timers on my two geysers to use them to store energy during the day. September 17, 20223 yr No bragging rights here or claim to fame. Just an off-grid system that has more reserve than I normally need. Incomplete graphs as my Inverter was in for repairs for two weeks and I got it back on 2 Sep just before LS started again. Lucky me. No comparison to Winter where I am not shy to run an electric heater during the day. Lots of spare capacity.
September 19, 20223 yr 5kw inverter, 10kw battery and 14 x 455w panels Edited September 19, 20223 yr by MakoShark
September 21, 20223 yr So far I have been getting 45 - 50 units a day in September. With 24 x 455watt panels.

October 1, 20223 yr Author Note: I've updated the first post with the data for the whole of September 2022. Was an excellent month for Solar (my best so far).
October 3, 20223 yr Heatpump consumption for the month: 53.97KWh (runs early morning 3:30am and 12PM most days) 5.9KW panels and plenty large trees (two strings 4S2P & 5S) 460W JA solar panels 8KW Deye 10 KWh DIY battery Worst eskom day I had to buy 4units as my father in-law(visting for a week) had the oven on for 2 hours cooking a pork belly. Would have been fine if he started around 11am but no. Family does not understand why lifestyle changes should be needed when you have solar. I am pretty relaxed to give Eskom some business if it means keeping the peace. Worst production day was 9.4KWh from the panels due to miserable weather Interesting to note that I am cycling my battery aggressively down to 20% (if needed) and I have managed to get 213.7KWh from the battery which is roughly R534 at current electricity prices ( and would mean I need 5-6 years to break even on the battery). October 3, 20223 yr Ended Sept with great overall stats - still looking to bring that Grid usage down but not overly concerned - also a 2nd 800+kWh month in PV production
October 3, 20223 yr Full Sep data. Right on par with my typical summer usage pattern. Sep 1 is missing as I got my Inverter back on 2 Sep after warranty repairs Edited October 3, 20223 yr by zsde
