Its just I see a lot of people buying 5kw inverters with 1 battery. If its a 0.5C battery then they only going to get 2.5kw. Not sure if most people even realise that. Panels also help during the day.

Voltex AM5 price has jumped to R38k from R31k on Monday when I called and they had 64 in stock. Now I don’t know what to buy anymore. My inverter is sitting there in its box just waiting I'm looking at the Shoto SDA10 again. Very good price and it's 1C. Have you looked at this battery?

Been focused on the batteries everyone talks about on this forum. The Sunsynk BYD Batteries look to be in stock everywhere now and the datasheet states 5000W maximum power so surely the BMS must let the inverter draw this? October 3, 20223 yr Author So I can get an AM-5 for R34700, an AM-2 for R29500 or an Sunsynk BYD for R32700 I called Sunsynk and they confirmed the BYD battery is 1C but when specifically asked this over email no answer yet. Not sure if the extra R4K odd for the AM-5 is worth it or if the Sunsynk extended warranty is also worth it as if you look at the small print after 5 years it just covers the costs of the parts, not the labor. I like the Hubble is local

I've been running the SDA10 since June and it seems like a solid battery, but my needs are small, so I haven't maxed it out. The manual recommends 0.5C, with 1C max and the BMS will warn at 100A and cut off at 110A. The only real issue I've had so far was the counting of the cycles, but that's just an incorrect BMS setting I found and changed myself as there is software available for full access which is a bonus if you are so inclined. I'm still trying to figure out if it is not talked about because it isn't popular or because it works so well nobody has problems (or maybe not yet). All stock sold out back in June during the rush, so I imagine there are quite a few in service out there.
October 6, 20223 yr Author My Sunsynk Battery just arrived (5.32) The manual / datasheet has a slightly higher Ah rating (104) reported than what is on the website -> https://www.sunsynk.org/byd-battery and it shows 100A MAX discharge and 5000W I have asked Sunsynk again on email to confirm the BMS will report and allow 100A (1C) draw but no answer yet. Will report back once it is installed.

Scant information online, no global website, no international reputation, etc. Is this a rebrand? I'd be happy to test one for free, but for my own money I'd wait until there's more reputation and support built up. Hi I am using two 3686 units - which i discovered recently. Because my installer decided to rub of the model number on the front. He did under charged me for them. However I using 5kw DEYE with them and the bms data is not communicating properly - no data displayed on the inverter. But still working fine. There are comms. And I followed instructions on this forum to try and set it up. To no avail. While I was doing it changed the RJ45 cables with new ones.
