I have used it, it might come on an hour earlier or later you just have to adjust it up or down.

so im reading the manual. it states the following four 0000. digits for setting 50.

AC inverter charge:

I have setting 50 on 0103

first two digits: Start hour: 01h00

the last two: End hour 03h59

testing will be if this does not break

Growatt Setting 50 does not work.

I have setting 50 on 0103

first two digits: Start hour: 01h00

the last two: End hour 03h59

as soon as i hit enter. lost entire power to the house.

Put it back to default 0000.

can you share your settings @buyeye?

@Moffat When we renovated our house I insulated all our hot water pipes to reduce heat loss and insulated the geyser in the roof as well. Was a mission but definitely makes a difference.

I see that they have one with an adhesive now so you can put them on the pipes without having to separate everything, makes things a lot easier

at what time did you hit "enter"?
Read the Manual carefully again. The last sentence states " AC output power is prohibited (Probably meant to say inhibited) outside of this period."

Thus this setting 50 allows a user to shut down any AC output power outside the period defined in the setting. So in effect your inverter shut off the AC exactly as stated/intended.
I don't believe this setting was ever added to achieve what you want to achieve.

you're correct, I read and understood it wrong.

based on what the others say about.

Then for my use case:

Ensure that eskom powers the house between 02h00 and 05h00 am. there is now way that this can be achieved on Growat without manually changing the charge priority to SUB.

Parameter 50 as now i understand it. will turn of power to anything that is outside of that time set.

Indeed. that's the only way.
In Solar Assistant a Power Management function has been provided that could solve your issue. I don't use it as my set up is off-Grid completely.
But for someone that has the grid connected, SA allows you to manage and define your battery and grid use. It is a third party app but worth every cent it costs.

@KB - Kabelo you are supposed to have an automatic transfer switch. Setting 50 shuts off inverter output so you don't use your battery let's say between 2 am and 4am to power your geyser. If you don't have an automatic transfer switch then Setting 50 is of no use to you.

If you did have an automatic transfer switch start time would be 04 and end time would be 02.

Update on this topic.

The geyser was replaced.

QQ: must a geyser replacement come with a COC?
