February 5, 20233 yr I bought my Kodak Inverter OGS5.6 and Kodak Batter FL5.2 and installation was done in July 2022. When the inverter arrived, it stated that it requires a firmware update to be done of which my technician did know how to do and I've never updated the firmware. I called Segen Solar a few times requesting assistance with a technician to help me with the firmware update but all they did was take my number and state that they will share the information to technicians. Is there anyone who can assist me with updating my the firmware update of my OGS5.6?
February 5, 20233 yr Hi Morena, i have the same Kodak Inverter OGS 5.6 Kwh, let me check my version and what is the latest version. It will be done using the USB option , where you can copy new Firmware to US, will do some homework and revert ack. There is also a Serial Port option to connect to the Inverter. Were you ale to use Watch Power App on samrt phone and connect to Kodak Inverter? Thanks, Gary

March 17, 20233 yr I've had a kodak OG plus 5.48 for about 2 years. Its been working fine but i needed a bit more power at certain times of the day so I got another one this year. Everthing is now wired up with the right parallel cables. i tested the new inverter with the old one isolated from the circuit. it works fine. I set the older inverter to parallel and it displayed HS ok. When I tried to set the newer inverter to parallel the newer inverter came up with an error which i looked up and it indicated that the inverters need to be on the same firmware version. I downloaded 00071.97 from the segen solar web site before downloads were disabled. I updated the older inverter to 00071.97 using a prolific serial to usb cable. I tried to do the same with the newer inverter but it kept failing with connect error. I tried again with a ch340 serial to usb cable with the same result. I tried the USB upgrade method and it kept failing with a U03 followed by error 32 warning. I tried the USB method on the older inverter and it went through ok. I tried swaping the remote display units with the same result. The newer inverter is showing firmware 00092.00 watchpower. can anyone help.

March 26, 20233 yr This forum has firmware version 74.04 for the '2809 processor. if you happen to have a '28066 processor (see Axpert Chipset Chatter), unfortunately there is no U1 firmware available as yet.

Hi, no firmware update done as yet, can you send a list of approved Solar Panel installers in Cape Town, want to use max 6000W of salor to get off the Grid. Thanks, Gary

August 16, 20241 yr What is the present main (U1) firmware version? That sounds like a 6.2kW King II, but the firmware version will confirm.

I am assuming that the firmware version that is in the Watchpower app? That 00068.03 for the main CPU. And yes I think it is the king II Twin.
