sunset1 Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 (edited) EDIT : PROBLEM MOSTLYSOLVED. TURNS OUT THE ROUTER WAS CONSTANTLY CHANGING THE IP ADDRESS OF THE RASPBERRY EVERY TIME POWER FAILED. FYI: SA does not control your inverter fully. I've been trying to change output source priority in SA to no avail. Got an email this morning from Pierre at support saying the software is not supposed to change how the inverter behaves, it can only change certain values. Im thinking here he means say battery volts etc. Thought this would be useful to people thinking about buying it. The graphs and data are great though. And for R900 not so bad. MdF Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 Fair point, but it is a continuously evolving piece of software that allows you to do quite a bit remotely on your inverter and battery. I have seen quite a few new features added over the past 18 months which has given me more and more control over my entire system. MdF sunset1 and system32 2 Quote
abd7 Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 Output source priority would change fine for me on kodak systems. Most settings would change fine, some required to be done twice then it would reflect. Solar assistant is worth it's weight in gold Quote
Jacques Ester Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 Also no issues with Solar Assistant. It is doing what I want it to do. Quote
optics Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 I can change output source priority on SA for my Growatt SPF5000ES. sunset1 1 Quote

sunset1 Posted March 23, 2023 Author Posted March 23, 2023 I want to change output source. Ie from solar to utilty. The option is there in configuration in SA but no changes are made on the inverter. Quote

The same toggle just twice, or do the same thing somewhere else in the configuration? Quote

PsyWulf Posted March 23, 2023 Posted March 23, 2023 Some clonexperts are sticky with changes ie they need to be done in an order, that sounds more like an inverter issue SA sends the command, whether the inverter listens to the standard command and does it - that's a different question Quote

For the record, full circle solar VM 1000, ie Voltronic is not configurable as of yet with SA. Despite their documentation saying so. Quote

Did you test configuring the unit with Watchpower? sunset1 1 Quote

Its strange because everything works great now except that the inverter gets hung up on utility powering the loads even when it's set to solar first with good sun and a full battery. Not sure where the hiccup lies here. I did notice this morning it kicked over to solar after a high load kicked in - sort of woke it up. Or perhaps she needs a good 10-15.min to adjust to the setting. Edited March 25, 2023 by sunset1 Grammar Quote
