18X375W Panels - 2SP - I'm being paranoid ? :)
I think I posted a pic somewhere and seems to be a legitimate / licensed unit. Surprisingly the EaSun Support answer my mail after 15 days but they of course blame my panels.

18X375W Panels - 2SP - I'm being paranoid ? :)
It's definitely a FIRMWARE bug / issue. Sun was under the clouds making around 1.2kw ... then suddenly clouds passed and I could see a spike of 4500+ watt and 15A on the PV side. Then the inverter immediately reduced it down to 2.5kw and let it climb slowly slowly up to 4kw. So my panels are ok , my installation is OK , my inverter is FALSE ADVERTISING and buggy At least now I can sleep at night knowing that the panels are OK and can produce what they suppose to. So next step is buy an Axpert MAX 7200 and sell the cheappo EaSun and never buy again cheap brand. Thanks everyone for the input.

I'll try to boost AC loads at 3K , but I tested with AC loads at 1.6K ... PV woul still be maxxed out at 4K. Unfortunately the sun is in the clouds now , hopefully will appear again in a few hours to make some more tests with loads on AC side.

Coulomb I tried to increase the load on AC side by switching AC on and had 1.5kw load on AC. The PV input was still max 4k, so yes , I think EaSun was just using marketing to boost the sales but the hardware is simply not able to cope with the marketing specs so they put a cap of 4K on PV side , else I can not explain.

Don't think is a temperature problem .. See in the video how the inverter is simply capping the PV around 4000watt.

I have 3 x Pylontech US3000C and 2 x US2000C. So the whole pack should be able to charge at 120A If I let it. I usually charge only at 60A whole pack but I tested like: Set max charge at 90A. Start charging the batteries when they are at 50%. I can see PV going to 4100-4200W and stabilizing somewhere at 4KW. Charging is at around 60Amps-70amps or so , don't remember exactly. Same time started my 2 X 1kw Air Condition system to have some consumers ... Battery charging amperage falling down and inverter still stable at around 4KW. So if the consumers are increasing , the charging will drop but inverter still be pulling 4K from inverter. I will do some more tests and logging tomorrow and come with some exact numbers.

Well the manual states nothing about the MAX amperage .... when I was looking first time at this inverter I saw on the page 27A but it seems it's not ? : So they state ... TAKE AS AN EXAMPLE ... they do not state this is the MAX . Also in my configuration the amperage does go UP TO 13A as I have them connected now 2SP9 ... And at first I had 12 panels and was ruining with 11 in one string , then I bough 6 more and I made 2 strings of 9 thinking it would be lower voltage but higher amperage and in the end more Watts anyway. Now looking at the things again and again I should maybe buy another inverter , 7-8kw directly from Voltronic where the specs are CLEAR and not bs like in licensed models... but right now I must stick with it as it is and maybe re configure my panels.. @#RT@#R%^!%R^*@ I never have consumption over 3kw as of now , but the idea in buying a 5.6kw inverter was to be able to expand at one point.

Anyway , tomorrow if full sun , I will meassure voltage and current at the pannels and check how many Volts / Amps come out. then we can determine for sure if the inverter is limiting or I have so much loss on my installation.

Coulomb , 100% agree with you here ... my dilemma is still why do I only see max 4000watt Tried 11 in one string , 10 in one string , 2 x 8 in string , 2 x 9 in string ... always capped at 4KW

18X375W Panels - 2SP - I'm being paranoid ? :)
I think the description you found is mixed from 3.6KW and 5.6KW. The inverter i have runs with 48V batteries and it SHOULD be able to indeed hadle 5.6KW and not only 3.6KW. Chinese sellers think a bit diferent I guess and they like to put as much text as possible to "show off" ? If I request model number and capabilities via USB it is indeed 5600W Max parallel units 1 units Nominal battery voltage 48.0 V Max AC output power 5600 W Max AC output apparent power 5600 VA

Dang on , well seen there ... but why the heck do they advertise 5600W if the solar PV inverter is only 3600W ? I see : Product name: 3600W Solar Inverter Feature: Solar Inverter 36Kva Rated Power: 3600VA/3600W Then a bit lower down in the description : Maximum PV Array Power: 6000W SolarChargerType MPPT MaximumPVArrayPower 6000W So what is what ? I'm starting to not understand anything anymore

18X375W Panels - 2SP - I'm being paranoid ? :)
Hi guys. Since 2 weeks I am finished with my installation and everything looks ok , system working good but I'm kinda thinking the system is under performing ? I have 2 Strings of 9 x 375W panels set up. (Photo is from before I removed the 360W panels in the end and added 6 more 375W panels , so current config is 2x 9*375w) Short Circuit Current (Isc) 11.69A Maximum Power Voltage (Vmp) 34.80V Maximum Power Current (Imp) 10.92A Now , lets say 375w / panel x 9 panels - 3375w per string... Thinking some losses because of wire , angle of the roof , inverter efficiency , I sould still be able to see 2500w/ string. By looking at the voltage on PV I see it swinging from 220 to 330V with amperage between 1 and max 13A ! ... even if I should be able to see 20A . Inverter is an EaSunPower SMV IV 5600W and can handle 27A on PV side. The issue I see is that my PV is ALWAYS capped somewhere around 4000W no matter the load , sun , battery charging etc. I tried also with 11 Panels in one string ... can't see more than 4000w there either ? Is my inverter capping the power or is this normal ?? Panels are facing South and the roof angle is around 25%.

Growatt Inverter + Pylontech Batteries : BMS Comms Guide
Think the new Pylontech firmware has somehow changed. I have a Voltronic clone / licensed einverter and it can communicate fine with OLD US2000B Plus but not with US3000C or US2000C. Try to check if BMS port pinout on the new batteries is the same as on the old ones before you pull your hair out

Inverter U5648 no display (STM32F107VCT6)
Thanks. Next question would be : Paralleling this units is dependent only on firmware or there are also hardware differences ? (beside the paralleling board)

Inverter U5648 no display (STM32F107VCT6)
Btw , which field in the return specifies the number of parallel units ? QPIRI (230.0 24.3 230.0 50.0 24.3 5600 5600 48.0 46.0 44.0 52.2 51.5 2 002 040 0 2 3 1 01 0 0 50.0 0 1

Inverter U5648 no display (STM32F107VCT6)
I just saw the archive content So it is USB flashing. If this FW is for 9 units that means not suitable for mine .. mine has no parallel function. We will wait a bit more , maybe something shows up

Mihai, the FW is for the units that can be paralleled or no parallel function ? What you used to flash the MCU ? Just on the fly trough USB ?

Mecer 1200VA inverter wont turn off!
YES , that is correct Scorp007. It wakes up , charges batteries but no output to loads. I must switch it on from the on / off switch to have output to loads.

Advice needed: Pylontech DIP switch settings
Sorry , on my US3000C the dips are upside down. I have DIP1 ON , 2-3-4 OFF. Battery number 2 leave all OFF. I have 4 batteries in parallel and only master has dip 1 ON for 9600bps the rest are off all. But if you have comms on your inverter I guess they are OK like you have them now

Advice needed: Pylontech DIP switch settings
Switch is correct and if you have comms , all ok. HOWEVER , I would suggest to set battery to USE mode and lower the bulk and float voltage to prolong battery life. Also , for me I saw 2-3 times that with the bulk at 53,2 the battery BMS indicated to high charge voltage, so I guess inverter spikes sometime. Since then I've set my inverter to USEr mode , and put bulk voltage at 52,8 and float at 52. Since then no more alarms on pylontech BMS.

Mecer 1200VA inverter wont turn off!
As I said , as soon as I give power to mine from either battery or AC , mine wakes up.

RS485 or CAN
If ICC is connected to your inverter trough USB it's a good idea to have ICC also connected to the battery so it can read battery state directly from the battery and NOT use data read by the inverter ... might not be as accurate as reading directly from battery. I do not use ICC , I use Solar Assistant (for now) and I have it connected both to the Inverter trough USB and to Pylontech trough RS485 , then I let it handle the inverter settings and switchover. When MultiSIBControl grows up a bit I think I will switch over to that as it has better control settings.

Mecer 1200VA inverter wont turn off!
Don't know your inverter but mine (Off grid newer one and not Mercer ) will always RUN unless I cut off all power sources. So as soon as it senses batteries or AC will turn up. Think this is the way they suppose to work ?

RS485 or CAN
Depends on the Inverter also and if it understands Pylontech. I use RS232 and RS485 because I don't think my inverter can CAN
