ZCS got a reaction from Stuart Donkin in Displaying Essential and Non-essential loads on UPS/Backup Sunsynk InverterThey can if limit to load is unticked. The risk with you unticking it is that your non essentials will deplete your battery if they are running during a time slot which uses battery power... im also quite a new user so maybe one of the more experienced forumites can provide further clarity or correct any inacurate information i may provide.
My setup currently has my geyser on non essentials and i have limit to load unticked. During the day i heat the geyser using PV/battery/grid in that order depending on how much pv is available. The wattage used by the geyser shows up on my powerflow graphic. As far i a know, if limit to load is ticked then no power will be supplied to my non essentials and also their usage will not show through the inverter as they will be powered direct from grid.

ZCS got a reaction from solazzz in Sunsynk battery to non-critical loadHi, just to confirm what @Leshen has said above. My set up currently has the geyser on the non essential side. Zero export ticked and limit to load unticked. When the grid is up, I can power my geyser during the day from pv/battery. when the grid is down during loadshedding the geyser will not receive any power. My geyser is on a cbi astute switch which I can schedule to come on during the day to use available pv. What I have done is to set my TOU settings on the inverter with 100% SOC during the time slots that i run my geyser(early morning), This way it will not use any battery for that load and only use grid. during the midday slot the PV will power the geyser unless its not enough and then it blend in some battery power(enough time in the afternoon to recharge back to 100%). This setup has been working well for me besides for some manual adjustments to the timing when loadshedding during my normal geyser time slots...hope this helps.

ZCS got a reaction from mzezman in Smart bulb helpHi all,
I seem to be having a weird issue with some smart gu10 bulbs. I have two of these bulbs in my kitchen cabinet. Initially the wifi signal was quite weak but i have since added an extender closer to the kitchen which seemed to solve the issue. All worked fine until a few days ago, for some reason, one bulb always shows offline on the smartlife app but as soon as i walk into the kitchen with my phone, it will show as online. Cant be a wifi issue as the signal is strong in the kitchen now (tested on phone). Could the bulb still be trying to connect to the AP which is further away(same SSID)? cant seem to get this sorted. any help would be appreciated.

ZCS reacted to Sonoff Africa in Is this the place?I can put together a little test rig with a router, I can configure the router and a device and we can know if its GSM network in the area is a problem. I will have one in 3 days. The Huawei 3 Pro and I will run a test loop timer and we see what the results are at my place then we can move the rig to your place and then see what the log files and we can have some information to start the debug if you are keen.
Note I will add the device to a test account and share it to you and we can see the log files and see if it drops and then we can start debugging from there
Let me know if you are cool with that.

ZCS reacted to Leshen in Displaying Essential and Non-essential loads on UPS/Backup Sunsynk InverterI see lots of confusion from installers regarding this which is really quite basic.
With a backup system without panels, limit to load doesn’t need to be ticked. With limit to load unticked, you will see all info on the inverter provided the CT is installed correctly, and yes the CT must be installed. Some people ignorantly assume that it doesn’t need to be installed but it does.
The only difference with a backup system is that use timer must be unticked. In this way the battery will not supply power to non essentials.
The benefit of limit to load with panels is that you limit the PV and battery power to only essentials and non essentials is supplied directly from the grid. In this way when say there isn’t enough PV for whatever reason, your battery won’t unnecessarily power the non essentials.

ZCS reacted to hoohloc in Hubble AM-2 SOCYou are correct, this is the place where to get help or find more info. You are allowed to start as many threads and ask as many questions as you want, some guys will answer. Do not worry about negative responses from people who can't help you, you find such people in all forums. Just ignore them and wait for the answer from the people who actually want to assist. It is strange that people are more worried about you charging your clients or that you are an installer and can't be spoon fed. We are all here to learn and share knowledge, no one knows everything and there is no silly questions
