  2. Thanks @Sonoff Africa. I got it sorted. much appreciated.
  3. Hi All, So I need some help. I have a surface mounted 3 gang light switch on my patio which controls my braai light and 2 outdoor spotlights. I just replaced the switch with a 3 gang smart switch. Here is where the problem comes in, gang 2 and gang 3(lights) will only turn on if gang 1 is on. There are 4 neutrals in total which I grouped together with a single wire into the neutral in on the switch (not sure if this is part of the issue?) Any help on how to resolve this so that they all operate independently? Thanks in advance.
  4. Hi @Planck, did the updated firmware add any additional or new features at all?

Hi all, I seem to be having a weird issue with some smart gu10 bulbs. I have two of these bulbs in my kitchen cabinet. Initially the wifi signal was quite weak but i have since added an extender closer to the kitchen which seemed to solve the issue. All worked fine until a few days ago, for some reason, one bulb always shows offline on the smartlife app but as soon as i walk into the kitchen with my phone, it will show as online. Cant be a wifi issue as the signal is strong in the kitchen now (tested on phone). Could the bulb still be trying to connect to the AP which is further away(same SSID)? cant seem to get this sorted. any help would be appreciated.
  7. Hi all, I am curious to know what efficiency everyone is getting out of their SS inverters. Sunsynk advertise a max 97% efficiency however, I dont believe my machine achieves close to this. As I understand it, the efficiency is calculated as Pac/Pdc. I have the 5kw model which gets quite hot in my garage and I wonder if the temperature has such a material effect on the efficiency which I calculate to be on average around 88%. I could really find any info online on what average efficiencies are achieved so thought I would start a thread and get your real world experiences.

  10. Hi, so thought id post an update... installers came through again and replaced the machine with a new machine. Same issue unfortunately so they are also at a loss and are awaiting further feedback from Sunsynk. not sure if it is related to something else on the hardware side or suspect something to do with FW comm e424 which is the only other 'change' that occurred on the system. Have you managed to get anywhere on your end with the similar issue? I see you also mentioned software e424, I wonder if this could be part of the issue? Maybe just to rule it out, I should have them roll back to e420?
  11. Has anyone who has upgrade to comm e424 had any issues since? I have had some issues on mine where the inverter seems like it is either using too much power for itself or is incorrectly reporting. they have tried reverting the mcu FW but the problem remains. Wondering if it could be related to the comm FW but my installer is adamant that the comm software would have no influence.

  13. 18 months is ambitious IMHO. The pessimist in me says that this will take at least 5 years to fix and thats on condition that the right decisions are made from now which based on history, I'm not so sure will be done. iirc we have had loadshedding for now going on 13 years with it only getting worse each year... nothing gives me any confidence that anything drastic is going to change in 18 months...

  23. If @Energy-Jason just gave us those greenrich batteries then we could avoid all this and just have everything on essentials but alas...🤷‍♂️😃
  24. But is you limit to load ticked or unticked? I assume unticked?
  25. They can if limit to load is unticked. The risk with you unticking it is that your non essentials will deplete your battery if they are running during a time slot which uses battery power... im also quite a new user so maybe one of the more experienced forumites can provide further clarity or correct any inacurate information i may provide. My setup currently has my geyser on non essentials and i have limit to load unticked. During the day i heat the geyser using PV/battery/grid in that order depending on how much pv is available. The wattage used by the geyser shows up on my powerflow graphic. As far i a know, if limit to load is ticked then no power will be supplied to my non essentials and also their usage will not show through the inverter as they will be powered direct from grid.
