  1. Hi all, I have been a long time view and wisher, but the time is arrived. I'm looking for around 400w production a day with a 5.5kw back up hybrid system. I bought a 5.5kw hubble battery new from a friend's father in law for very low cost(sealed) The choice I need to make is sunsynk or deye. Looking at the 8kw. Maybe 8x 455 ja solar panels. Installation cost vary between 15k- 45k just Installation... What is the advise on deye vs sunsynk
  2. Hi everyone. Looking at starting in solar. Sunsynk with about 6 panels, and a battery.. and room for expansion. I came across this website, online store: pace energy in bloem. Anyone heard of them? Are they OK?
  3. Hi, Will you sell the batteries alone?
  4. Just out of interest. What was the cost of installation. Minus inverter, panels, batteries? Wires, addition dB boards, brackets, labour, etc
  5. Well done, hopefully i will have something similar in the next 2 months. If the renovations doesnt get to expensive i will have a couple of 10 000s. the 4x panels, how was it? does the growatt blend the inputs (PV/Bat/grid), did you manage to sort out the PV-grid-Bat

  10. inverter warehouse in jhb has a special with 1. Phocos inverter -5kw 2. Polyontech 3000 bat 3. 6 Jinko 400w panels For like R47400. I heard good things about these products. Any advice?
  11. Hi, Where are you based?
  12. Hi all, Been a long time member browsing, bought a few items(general back ups) but now i need to start my solar off/hybrid journey. Current, a cheap 30amp charger, 1x 2000va invertor(mecer ups) , 2 x 105ah gel batteries. My mind is abit all over the place... 1. Do I just get a genni for loadsheading and kinda run the entire house. 2. Start solar, a staggered plan, start smaller and upgrade. I am leaning towards the 2nd choice, to start I would need a solar solution to run atleast my marine tank( about 1500w) and maybe a few plugs in the day and if there is loadsheading during non sun power times I have a back up for about 5 hours. I want something that I can upgrade later(add more panels or batteries). Budget : 60k ish I want something easily managed. My house is on top of a hill, north facing so no blockage of sun. Any recommendations for the system and installer? Jhb- west rand.
  13. how can I use an external charger with a ups? just connect it? I have seen 20amp chargers with auto cut offs, can I just have those plugged in?
  14. T T T is absolutely correct. It falls under building as it forms part of the structure. The assumptions are made that all was done correctly, and validated at claim stage. I am in short term insurance and generally items like this doesnt break/damage easily. Premiums seems correct.
  15. Forgot to add 24v.... So I need to connect 2 batteries in series.
  16. Its currently has 2 9amp batteries. I have 2 150amps. The charger is 10amp. I can get an external charger.. but how much amps
  17. Hi peeps, im new to the forum but an old time browser/reader. I need advise, I have 2 RCT 2000va 24v ups (inline), all the batteries are gone. I also have 2 150AH gel batteries. I want to know if it will be on to connect the UPS to the batteries to run: 1. tank (90watts) 2. tv, surround sound and MI box( 200watts) 3. Fibre (7watts) worries-will the charger be enough, will the UPS be ok with about 4.5 hours run time?
