Is it possible to buy an extended warranty for the SunSynk inverters?

I have seen this posted before but it was a while ago so things might have changed. Is the SunSynk batteries worth paying the extra maybe R5K to R7K more than some of the others to get the extra warranty. How are these batteries performing in the field any issues. I like the BSL batteries and the Greenrich (maybe someone with these can comment) and the Volta for the price. Just as an example the Volta 5kw goes for about around R24K and the SunSynk is going for around R32K. @TaliaB Thanks for the reply, so you use 40A for inverter supply and output with 10mm supply and output from the inverter to the essentials DB.

@AlexTZA I wanted to ask is it okay to have a 40A MCB on the inverter output as well. I am a bit worried that this is 8.8Kw . In the manual it says 32A. I bought 2 x 40A Hager MCB's but I don't want to over current the output. Has anybody run with a 40A MCB on the 5Kw SunSynk output This is from the SunSynk Manual for the 3.6 and 5Kw 4.7. Connecting the AC Before connecting to the grid, please install a separate AC breaker between the inverter and the grid. Also, it is recommended that installs an AC breaker between the backup load and inverter. This will ensure that the inverter can be securely disconnected during maintenance and fully protected from overcurrent. For the 3.6/5KW model, the recommended AC breaker for backup load is 32A/40A. Then a few lines down it has this table, so the above says 32A for 3.6Kw and 40A for 5Kw (As I read it), then the table below says 40A input and 32A output???

Just wanted to ask is it okay if I use a 40A MCB on the supply and output of the SunSynk 5kw inverter

Thanks @AlexTZA Will definitely have a qualified person doing the install, I was also thinking that there would already be one in the "main DB" so I was thinking I could get rid of it completely. I only see a 63a isolator is that okay? Sorry I know you said you not an electrician but maybe someone else will also read this and comment if you not 100% sure. P.S. Thanks for taking the time.

I would like someone to have a look at my basic drawing, what I wanted to ask is do I need the first 40A mcd (on the far left) or can I do away with this one. I have seen other boxes online that don't have this and some people say you have to have this?? @AlexTZA If you would not mind having a look please.

Thanks @FixAMess I saw in the SunSynk manual after I posted it said 150A. Is it okay to do a 160A disconnect on a 5Kw inverter? I just wondered why you would have a 3 pole disconnect.

Hi What size battery fuse-disconnect is needed for the SunSynk 5kw inverter, I saw in the manual 150A so could you do 160A? Is the 160A not to much for the 5Kw inverter and maybe could go with the 125A? Also wanted to ask why some of these disconnectors have 3 poles and some have 2?

Wanted to ask do both of these change over switches go into the AC protection box or in their relative essential and non-essential DB boxes. Trying to work out the size of the AC protection box. Also do you need E/L in the AC protection boxes or only in the 2 Db's?

That sound exactly how I want to set it up, I am going to put the Stove, 2 Geysers a granny flat and a 18 000 btu aircon on a non-essentials DB. I would like to be able to change over the non-essentials as I have timers on the geysers so will be able to control them if needed. How many change over switches would I need for this and how many poles?

The Beny surge protectors says: Voltage: 385V AC Max. Discharge Current: 40kA No. of poles: 2 Protection Class: Type II Operating Temperature: -40°C to 85°C On the device I can see 275v

I saw it says 40A on the grid breaker and 32A on the load breaker.

Hi, I am looking at buying or assembling my own AC protection box. What I need to ask is, what is the recommended size of the incoming (supply circuit breaker) and the output from inverter circuit breakers, I am trying to use all Hager breakers and change over switches and then Beny surge protection devices. My thinking is this (I could be totally wrong the supply to the inverter could be either 32A or 35A) The Output from the inverter you could go for the same 32A or 35A is this correct? Where is the best place online to look for already assembled AC protection boxes for ideas?

HI Does anybody have a basic wiring diagram for a SunSynk 5kw unit with a 5kw battery. Reason I ask is I want to show the prospective installers all the requirements that are required for SANS just so I have something to check against them. With so many install not being up to scratch I would like to take it on myself to try and make sure they follow the rules.

That cabinet is it specific for batteries or is it a "normal" IT/Server 19 inch rack mount cabinet? 35Kwh of battery very nice.

Hi Leshen I am very keen on the BSL battery brand and I think you have been installing a few of them with the SunSynk inverters . I wanted to ask your opinion on them any problems you have had. I have Solar Assistant and wanted to know if this will work with the BSL Powerline 5 batteries.

Yes, I just bought one from aptsaonline.co.za, very good price, I would go for the 2 in 2 out option as it will be ready for the next string when you install it. P.S. how many MPPT's does the inverter have, if only 1 then you can do 2 in 1 out.

Just wanted to ask if a company called SolarRG legit and anybody bought from them. They have a price for a SunSynk 5Kw and a Volta stage 1 for R36000 ex vat, which does sound a bit to good as the saying goes.

Just wondering are we seeing a few kinks in the Solis S6. I know it is still a new inverter but it has me wondering now if I should lean back to the SunSynk. How quickly do you think they might sort out these few issues you guys have seen?
