How is state of charge measured?
Your battery settings are out of range for the inverter, 58v DC max. I will never charge Gel batteries to 14.7v. keep them at max 14.4v. Bulk set to 57.6 and float to 55.2V

Blown Inverter (Mecer IVR-1200LBKS 1200VA + Mecer LiFePO4 200AH)
If the rectifier blew, AC went down steam ... u384x(PWM driver IC) probably dead. The rectifier is the last component to fail in a overload condition. PM me if you have any repair questions. The problem with lithium batteries are not how many amps or capacity they have ( they can not deliver the same peak amps as lead acid( BMS limited)) they can cause transient load spikes on the charging circuit of the inverter especially when battery charge mosfet's disconnect for over volt or over cell protection. For the statements or questions in this poste you can connect a inverter to any amount of amps and capacity battery. The protection (fuse, breaker) must be correct. The duty cycle of the charge circuit of these inverters are 100%. So they can charge a battery for a year if temps stay in spec.( Ambient and the fans work)

How much can I shorten the string?

How much can I shorten the string?
Yes manually, calculate the max open circuit voltage of the panels in series and must less than max Pv voltage on the inverter.(800V) Now calculate the VMP( max power point voltage of the panel) and this must be more than the PV minimum of the inverter. (400V)

How much can I shorten the string?
10 535w panels are the minimum for the 2nd string max 15 panels. For the 320w Max 17 Min of 11.

Solar problem
Pin out for Ultra Energy 48100PW are RS485 only RJ45 1&8 to B 2&7 to A and 3&6 to ground. Battey side Pin1&8 to Growatt pin1 Pin 2&7 to Growatt Pin 2 Got it wrong RJ45 have only 8 Pins

Pre-paid and off grid inverter
The Kodak OGX 5.48 is actually a hybrid inverter which can use solar, grid and batteries. These inverters are Axpert type(design), when these inverters switches to grid they are "grid tie connect" but will not send power to the net. Problem with this if you grid fluctuate the inverter can send small amounts of power back in to the grid and some smart prepaid meter can trip. Very frustrating!

Pre-paid and off grid inverter
If you have a Ecolec 570 prepaid meter then you will have problems with most hybrid inverters. Wat model Kodak are you looking at? Most common inverter types are Grid tie, Off grid and Hybrid.

BlueNova vs Freedom Won
Epsolar have a lcd and the Victron not, Victron faster to power point but I experience a problem with slow regulation when BMS disconnect charge. (on load side) Did not had the problem with Epsolar to date.
-
BlueNova vs Freedom Won
Yes will work and it is MPPT charge controller better than PWM type. Compatible with lead acid and lithium-ion batteries.
-
BlueNova vs Freedom Won
Yes some of the newer PWM controllers have settings for different battery chemistries and not to expensive.

Hi yes LIFeO4 have a very long life if use correctly. Do not overcharge or discharge them and they will outlast lead acid batteries easy. 12V LIFeO4 batteries are 4 cell units with a nominal voltage of 12.8V, full charge voltage 14.4V and max discharge to 11.2 V. LiFeO4 batteries have a BMS to balance and protect the battery from overcharge / discharge. Most BMS's can not handle short circuit condition. Your charge controller are the normal PWM type and have no way to change settings for deterrent types of batteries. Normally they can not tolerate a disconnected battery condition while a solar panel is connected and supplying power. LIFeO4 battery BMS will disconnect it self when full or over voltage are reached. Only the charge circuit will disconnect on full or overvolt. The discharge circuit will disconnect at low voltage to prevent over discharge. Hope this help

BlueNova vs Freedom Won
The NiteCore D4 can work between 11 to 13.8 volt with no issue. Just check that your charge controller can be set to the spec for the battery you are using. if the BMS disconnect charging (full battery)some charge controllers can overvolt on the load connector.

Solar problem
Hi Kamlesh you have to change your PV strings so the strings match in voltage. If I understand you correctly you have 6 x 450w panels in series (+/- 240VMP)and 4 x 540w panels in series (+/- 160VMP). The 540w string will draw the 450w string down. When the charge controller start it can not find the mppt point and then can draw the bus voltage down for a moment then error 52 will show up as your inverter charge on the DC high voltage bus and not on the 48V Bus. On a 48V LIFePo4 battery you need to set bulk and float to a max voltage of 53.8V. if set too high the BMS will open the charge mosfet's and stop charging before the BMS have time to balance the cell's. most BMS's will stop charging if a cell get above 3.65V. You have a 15 cell battery and 53.8V work out to 3.58v per cell. Hope this help
