  1. An interesting problem I have come up against. I have a client that is looking at replacing their current UPSs (with VRLA batteries) at a number of their sites with Inverter/Lithium battery systems. We have a solutions for majority of the sites, however there are 2 sites the UPSs that have a 3-phase input going to a single-phase output. Would one be able to parallel inverters (e.g. Victron, Axpert, etc.) so that they except a 3-phase input but output to single-phase? This would be preferable for the client as opposed to rewiring the DB to accomodate. Thanks in advance
  2. How are you finding that IVR1200mppt? Do fans switch off when the battery is charged? The ones I have here run continuously.
  3. @Jay-Dee did you get any feedback on this?
  4. IIRC the "default" setting is for lead acids. Try setting it to one of the other battery types/makes that matches the spec sheet of your battery If the BMS is communicating with the inverter properly it will take over and let the inverter know when it's charged. E.g. we installed and inverter with a custom 14.4kWh battery (single unit) with 56V charge requirement. 1) We set it as 1 Pylontech it will charge to 53.2V at about 25Amps so the PV input limits itself. 2)When set as 4 x Pylontechs it gave us about 100A charging, but only to 53.2V, battery never went above 95%. 3) Eventually set it as 2 x GCL batteries which gives 56V with a max charge of 100A, now the battery is charged to 100% by 12:30 most days (would be earlier but some shading in morning). I hope this helps
  5. I've just had a look on the PC and the normal user profile doesn't allow you to look at the alarm records. I assume your inverter has been registered with your installers profile. If not you can use mine and I will have a look for you.
  6. Hi Barry Is your inverter linked to your WiFi? Also are you registered on the SEMS portal? This should hopefully give you some idea of the what happened. Cheers Dave
  7. Ok cool, how are you connected to the inverter? Do you know if this could be used on the Axpert Kings?
  8. Good to hear. What software are you using to monitor your system?
  9. Apologies, the price is R 13 500 incl VAT, warranty still intact. Based in Cape Town.
  10. I have a client who bought and installed 3 Synapse (Axpert) Kings in a 3-phase installation. Due to the noise and location of the inverters, the client is going a different route. Thus we would like to sell the inverters on his behalf for R 13 820.13 incl. VAT each including the parallel card. These are basically new.
  11. Interesting, could that you could potentially have a grid-tie type inverter depending on the firmware installed?
  12. Full Circle Solar seem to sell them (out of stock at the moment though). https://www.fullcirclesolar.co.za/product/7-2kva-7200kw-axpert-king-max-vat-incl/ Perhaps they can give you some feedback
  13. I was always under the impression it was like the king but can take a bigger load. Where did you get the inverter from? Do the suppliers not have some info?
  14. Anyone know where I can get a copy of the software for an Imeon 3.6? I believe it's called Imeon Manager 2.2.2. Client bought a house with the Imeon installed. Need to go through the hassle of getting it registered with the City of Cape Town, but need a copy of the software to know what's going on.
  15. Hi Gnome I agree with you on this point. What I have found out is the following: The current Axpert King inverters are in the region of 62db The Sunsynk's are rated at <30db Ideally, I would use some like the Goodwe 5048d-es which has no fan, but a massive block of aluminium instead. Unfortunately, they cannot be paralleled (3-phase supply to house) and the manufacturer does not allow for more than one to be connected to the same battery bank.
  16. Thanks Jason Sent you an email earlier today. Got your response
  17. Where did you get the turbine from?
  18. Thanks all for the responses Will chat to the client about what he would like to do
  19. I have just installed an off-grid system for a client using 3 Axpert King inverters in parallel. The client is happy except for the noise generated when there is a load (e.g. oven). What are your thoughts of the Sunsynk in this respect?
  20. Another related question. Assuming I can't find an approved inverter described previously. Can anyone confirm whether 3-phase inverters typically ramp down to the lowest phase requirement or each phase operate independently up to it's rating (i.e. inverter rating divided by 3). using the previous example: Would all phases ramp down to 2.3kW or will phase 1 &2 put out 3.3kW and phase 3 put out 2.3kW? I can't seem to find documentation from manufacturers on this. Thanks
  21. Has anyone here come across a 3-phase grid-tied inverter that can supply unequal loads? For example at a particular point in time a site has the following loads: 3.3kW on Phase 1 4.3kW on Phase 2 2.3kW on Phase 3 Assuming a 10kW inverter, a standard inverter would inject 3.3kW per phase. i.e. in the case of exporting Phase 1 would be catered for Phase 2 would only supply 3.3kW and 1kW would come from AC Phase 3 would be catered for and 1kW would be exported to grid. In the case where exporting is limited, then typically all phases would be limited to 1kW (as I understand it). Are there any that would split the power unequally across the three phases? I am under the impression that the Imeon 9.12 and potentially the Infinisolar 10kW may be able to do this (neither of which are on the City of Cape Town's approved list). Here is the blurb from Imeon on their units capabilities https://imeon-energy.co.uk/apps-en/smart-grid-type-en/unbalanced-phases-adjust-the-injection-per-phase/ Thanks in advance
  22. Thanks, just what I was hoping for
