It'll be best to turn the master on first.

If you can't change it there then you will have to change it on the inverter on the screen like I showed above or similar.
October 13, 20241 yr Hi, apologies for posting here. I’m using the same batteries and feeling really frustrated – I’m almost ready to give up on them. I’ve tried about 10-15 different DIP switch settings, but I’m still not sure if they are working properly. I have two batteries connected in parallel and using RS485 LAN and LI protocol (02 36) on my Growatt inverter. However, when I use the LI mode, the batteries charge very slowly, around 5A (250w-290w), and I can’t change the settings while in LI mode. But when I switch to USE or USE2, the charging speed jumps to 40A (1000w-1300w). The problem is, in these modes, I can’t see how much charge the batteries have (SOC) on the inverter. Could anyone please help me? I’m really exhausted dealing with this. Also, I’m not in the USA, so getting a solar assistance device isn’t an option for me.

Unfortunately I'm not familiar with the growatt inverter and I run my battery in use mode, so I can't help much at all. FYI solar assistant is a South African company and they do ship internationally, so it doesn't matter where you are, it seems to be the only solution if you need accurate SOC on the inverter.
