Posted February 13, 20223 yr Hi All need some assistance with an install, Helping my brother install a sunsynk 12kw 3 phase inverter, when powering it in I get an alarm, W03 grid phase wrong alarm, has anyone encountered this alarm before?
February 14, 20223 yr It's possibly just wrong phase rotation on the utility connection. Swap two of the AC-in phases.
February 14, 20223 yr Author Yep tried that, didn’t work, going to get a phase tester to have a better look
February 14, 20223 yr Maybe just check the voltages on the 3 phases as well, here quite often the dudes who have 3 phase from Eksdom, have 100-odd volt on one phase (to neutral) and 240-odd volt on the other 2 phases (to neutral)...
August 5, 20222 yr I have the same problem. Installer swopped phases in all combinations. Did not work? What did you do?
September 8, 20222 yr I had the same problem. It turns out my CT directions were incorrect. Make sure the arrow on the side of each CT points from the grid side towards the inverter side, and each pair of CT connection wires should have the black on the left where you connect them to the inverter.
December 15, 20222 yr The Black CT-cable to the LEFT ? If I see the manual, it should be on the RIGHT side !
December 18, 20222 yr Hi Ishaaq If you are in Australia or NZ, the DRM port should be used . Your electricity distributor will be able to execute commands on your inverter if needed. DRM port is nr. 17 in the inverter diagram. Australian/NZ standard is AS/NZS 4777.2:2020. Zone A,B or C should be checked also- see pages 34,35 of your inverter manual. In advanced function setup menu, DRM box should be checked. If it doesn't help, in the first screen of grid setup menu, try to change phase type from 0/120/240 to 0/240/120. Maybe is not a bad idea to contact the support guys from Deye, the will definitely be able to support. Hope it helps!
January 30, 20232 yr Just for the record if CT points towards inverter on the grid cables then it’s white in port 3 and black in port 4 for the first cable’s CT and 5&6 for the next then last is 7&8. All 3 CT clamps must be on and should be after the DB board (breakers).
February 13, 20232 yr I have the latest firmware and installed two three phase 12kw in parallel. checked all the wiring on the DB , did continuity tests and swapped incoming white and blue around ( anti-clockwise on main council board). The Sunsynk technician said switch off all the loads ( drop main breaker in the house) then change grid setting to 0/120/240 ( clockwise - checked with meter). When Inverter alarms W03 turn off and then start again. This should sort it out. Unfortunately I have not been successful. What he told me though was if you don’t have 3 phase devices then this setting doesn’t really matter ( as nothing will run backwards) as it does not effect the inverter. what breaks the inverter is trying to change this when running a full load .
June 20, 20231 yr Just did a similar installation with similar error. Problem was caused by lack of a single phase neutral on the inverter output side. All the necessary circuit breakers, fuses etc is in place but I am simplifying the explanation. 3 phase Eskom input with neutral via a selector switch that can feed inverter or bypass and supply output directly. On the bypass(ed) output side the 3 phase was connected to a breaker for a 3 phase pump as well as a bridge from 1 phase to supply single phase Earth Leakage breaker. Neutral for Earth Leakage is provided with the Eskom supplied neutral. On the inverter supplied output side the 3 phase is connected to the 3 phase pump breaker with single phase bridge to Earth Leakage (with the Eskom neutral) This resulted in an W03 grid phase wrong alarm. The solution was to connect the inverter output neutral to the Earth Leakage.

January 24, 20241 yr Hello All I had the same error. My solution was to test what my phase to phase voltage was. Then go into Grid settings on the inverter, go to Grid levels and select the voltages closest to my supply voltage. Eg. Supply voltage 411v ph to ph Inverter settings 380 ph to ph So adjusted it to 410v and it works.
