Then physically disconnect the logger and after 30 seconds reinsert. Then connect directly to the dongle via wifi to EAP_*****. Once connected use your browser to connect via IP 10.10.10.1. You should then be able to set it to your phone's hotspot instead of the home wifi network. Regrettably, this has not mitigated the issues I have with the dead loggers.
January 18, 20233 yr Thank you. There are a few posts on Facebook complaining about this very same issue. The only thing that changed on my side was the software upgrade as well. I also use UniFi access points though. Let’s hope Sunsynk sort this out as soon as possible.
January 19, 20233 yr My data logger is still down and the service from Sunsynk has been poor to say the least.
January 19, 20233 yr What service from Sunsynk, multiple emails to them unanswered. JNB based technical staff 'unaware' of the problem. Service is non-existent.

Maybe try to change the channel on your Router to something less digested. There are some apps you can use to scan your network and suggest a better channel. I use the home connect app for iphone. Also ensure that rts/cts functionality on the router access point is enabled
January 19, 20233 yr Several folks are having the same issue. Statistically this can't be coincidental.
January 19, 20233 yr We all need to email this issue to [email protected] I spoke with him yesterday and he was totally unaware of this problem. His only suggestion/solution was to courier the loggers to him in JNB for them to verify the failure(s) for replacement. I have two inverters and two dead loggers. When I suggested that the problem was caused by the Master inverter, he had no answer. Sunsynk need to act responsibly and promptly to this failure as it is becoming steadily more widespread.
January 19, 20233 yr Same issue here. Two inverters, both dongles green light on with no WiFi connection. Nothing changed on my side since all other devices on LAN do connect to WiFi router. Rebooted router no differences. Logged issue via email with no response yet. Edited January 19, 20233 yr by Meinhard
January 19, 20233 yr Can you login to https://pv.inteless.com/plants using your sunsynk login details I see that there is a version difference between the sunsynk website and inteless. Sunsynk is still on v230106 and inteless is on v230117 This is who Sunsynk use for the sunsynk data logger. It may help if you mail them I see they have an update as of 17 Jan On the gateway info this is the software versions of mine I think teh company providing the service is : http://e-linter.com/ I recall I had something about a month ago. I unplugged the logger from the inverter and plugged it back in again Edited January 19, 20233 yr by Gary Waterworth

I unplugged the logger from the inverter and plugged it back in again Morning Gary, I think you may well be into something. What model of data logger do you have? Mine is EESW-D205 with hardware AEWZ-0005-03. I note that your software/firmware version is subsequent to mine (4790122A12R). I also see that your logger is also still online, while both of mine are offline. The conundrum now is how to update the data logger firmware myself since Sunsynk will have no access with the data loggers offline. Does anybody have the firmware update file for Gary's version?
January 20, 20233 yr I tried to use another logger and it worked for half a day before doing the same thing again. I have two dead loggers now. Edited January 20, 20233 yr by Joe1
January 20, 20233 yr Join the club. Definitely something incompatible between the inverter with its updated software and the loggers with their legacy software, which can't be updated by Sunsynk OTA. Edited January 20, 20233 yr by Tegra
January 20, 20233 yr I had a logger just drop me about 4 days ago, was running for 2 months fine. I had only a green light as well. This is my first logger issue of only 4 with WiFi. Put another one in and all fine. not sure of any firmware or what ever numbers though

January 20, 20233 yr Also based on what you have said this is the connection between the logger and the logging site. I dont think this has anything to do with the invertor FW, but could be wrong
January 20, 20233 yr I have the same issue. The plant is offline since 19.01.2023 4:11 AM. The SunSynk WiFi dongle is solid green and blinks quickly in every 14 sec. The network equipment is UniFi with no issues in the last two years. Strong signal 2.4 GHz to the inverter (WiFi Experience 96 / 100).
January 20, 20233 yr I used to get this a lot with the Deye logger. Would go offline for a few days, I would reboot, it would work again ... and so on. Then changed over to Solar Assistant and never looked back. The Pi on your local network is always available. MdF

For now it's been 3 days and ok but I will revert if it fails and try get more firmware info. But I am glad there is a known issue as sad as it is as it means I am not a do°s. For a stage I thought maybe the tempreture of the inevrter caused issues in which I want to insall a fan (5kw Sunsynk). Will keep posted on how it goes. But the problem I face is that I can not charge for the failing equipment when it's a few months old so that and the time is killing me.
January 20, 20233 yr My plant is online again. Not sure what worked but I went onto my UniFi log in page and clicked on "restart device" for the access points. I then tried to reconnect the Sunsynk logger to the WiFi and the red light stayed on. All seems fine for now. Let’s hope this lasts. Edited January 20, 20233 yr by Joe1
