Good morning

Please can someone help me with the contact number for Raystech SA . I also got problems with my battery's.  Got 4 x5.1kwh . On the Smart Bess app it shows all 4 are online, but no readings on the battery's.  (No data found) they also drop from 100% to 1% .

Thank you

  • Hello, I'm calling from Italy, I have a problem with the storage batteries. I have a growatt sfh 5000 inverter and CFE 5100 batteries. The batteries cannot hold the voltage and therefore shut down.

  • hehe me too - i've even offered to re-translate everything for them

  • Its not our inverters. Its the CFE Batteries. How is it possible that we all have the same problem with CFE Batteries but different inveters.

I have found that my CFE batteries, post latest firmware update pushed by the CFE team (yesterday), seem to now have the SOC dramatically increase (or decrease) crazily quickly. I am very concerned about these batteries, and I am not even sure if they will last a short loadshedding session anymore.

I also got the new SmartEnergyPLAT app installed and working, and although it works, its basically just reflects these pretty crazy ups and downs.

I will monitor over the next few days.

I have tried all the apps available smart BESS, CFEnergy but non of them want to connect my CFE-5100 S battery to any of my phones with various android versions on them.....it is as if the battery is not resetting properly so that I can go into the BMS of the battery.

Cell number for Owen 084 975 5067. They will assist you.

Owen did reply to two of my messages and then he stopped responding to me, and I still don't have any access to the battery BMS or wifi configuration. NONE of the APK files he sent me worked. So I'm still stuck, any other suggestions will be highly appreciated.

My inverter is updated to the latest version, but I can't get any app to work on my battery WiFi. If I look up my battery S/N it says that the battery doesn't exist, any help will be highly appreciated.

Yes @sjpand @PieterOthis looks like the way their firmware is working - I was having a fault issue which now seems because one of the 2 batteries I was running was on older Firmware - Leon from CFE managed to remotely update both batteries to the latest firmware and I now have a similar "feature".

What i've noticed is that in the later afternoon the battery charges to 100% and then the load pulls from the battery even if there is sufficient PV production - it drops to 95% (sometimes 90%) and then all returns to normal with PV handling load and charging the battery... Odd that it doesn't happen earlier during the day when charging to 100%. But at least it is not faulting and mine tops up to 100% pretty much each late afternoon now...

Good day

What did you people do to resolve the issue?

I have a LuxPower inverter with 2x CFE which do the same think

Hey there, still have that last update to the firmware, the batteries do this by design, when full they get used a little even if there is enough solar. I have a third battery which was faulty and sent back, but they can't replace it because they don't sell them in SA any more, sigh.
