Luxpower Firmware

Featured Replies

Received a new inverter.Firmware is different.I need to download and update the other two SNA5K's.Is there a site to download the firmware modules?

The new SNA5000 seems to want to take control(load) over the other 2 and the load switches from the other 2 to itself during load shedding.

Similar problem here. I'm on cbaa-121613. Is this the latest? How can we upgrade, without bringing the installer into the equation? I bought this equipment so should be able to do this myself... 🤔?

AGREE !!!  I been begging my supplier to create an "Admin" account for me so I can do it myself, but so far they were very reluctant to comply :(

Did you succeed?  Please share.

Ordinarily i would be keen for access to do this myself BUT i had a look at the installer portal and it's not very user friendly. Also who then takes the blame if an upgrade bricks the inverter? I dunno - i am caught between the 2.

I Have been trying to get in touch with anyone from support. Luxtek main support keeps referring to the South African support - no reply to whatsapps etc.

was quite impressed with the brand and unit but now scared to update firmware or sell and install more units as support seems to be non existent in SA

Was pretty impressed with the tech specs when they first appeared in SA. My neighbour got himself two in parallel with his installation. Fortunately or unfortunately he is not technically minded about his installation and just uses it. The mobile app was so messed up by the Installer that he has a view only on each inverter individually but unable to change anything. His Desktop app he never got going as the two units are registered on an Admin account the installer created.
He did try for months to get hold of someone at Luxpower to reset the WiFi modules to create an account that he can control and use. To date that was an impossibility, but then again he is happy to just let the system do whatever it does.
He checks the state of the batteries via the Inverter display and thats it.
Aspergo is the official distributer. He has contacted them in the past but I suppose he just gave up.
From that perspective, and until there is some positive feedback on how someone got the deserved support, this Inverter is not on my shortlist anymore.

Is there anyone that can assist me to create a "administrator" account for my Lux-Power 5kw SNA inverter ONLY?

I asked the supplier multiple times but they are completely reluctant to oblige.

After asking many times, the supplier created an admin account for me at last ... :)

can you share what the installer-level access looks like?

On the "Maintain" page, everything that is available on the inverter (like battery type) can be set and not limited as for a "end user" account.

Also under maintain more tabs available:  "Set Record", "Remote Update", "Update Record", "Autotest".

All the rest is exactly the same as before.

if you use the mobile app you can search when near to the inverter for its wifi network and connect,  when connected as local once connected to wifi you get full access to everything.    i've used it in the passed when my distributor disabled something they shouldnt have for normal users.

we shouldnt be blocked from seeing all settings,  after all have paid for the devices its ours not the distributors

Hi, ever figured out where to get this "verification code"?

This is really ridiculous that I am not allowed to update my own damned equipment. Who the hell do they think they are? Now I have to pray for a reply from the supplier whose customer service sucks.

OK People - just installed a luxpower 5kw inverter and pylontech battery - worked for 7 days - cut out and yes firmware/shoftware update problems. Here is the best person to contact for this in South Africa - did mine in 10 minutes - if your comms cable is wired correctly - he will also guide you for your specific battery - will cost a little money - but sorted without any hassles - contact the guy from SHARP SOLAR SUPPLIES in western cape - he is doing this from his laptop - needs your dongle and serial numbers of inverter - hope this helps - i know the frustration with these things - Luxpower support not that efficient. good luck.

[email protected] is your best bet. They reply faster than SA direct support. It is ridiculous but for your sanity just email them to do it.
