Solarman logger keeps going offline

Featured Replies

Hey folks,

In the past week or so I've noticed that Solarman keeps going offline for various lengths of time. Today has been particularly lengthy - since about 4am it's been offline. Is there anything that can be done to change to a different server or something? Its not my wifi connection but the servers that they connect to...

Hi . Was your question re Solarman app showing inverter as offline . I am experiencing the same problem since 11:00 today. My wi fi is working perfectly and is not the cause of the problem. Greetings Stan Basson

I've experienced the same issue. Started going offline for short periods after a year in use, then offline time increased and eventually stopped working. Returned it to the supplier who replaced it (Firmware: LSW3_15_FFFF_1.0.84. Previous firmware was 1.0.72). Been working for a few months but the same issue started occurring. It's a piece of crap.

Hello.

I'm seeing similar patterns. Mostly just large gaps between data points in the app. The logger itself tells me it is connected to a server (default, whatever that is), so it seems like the data center API is up but their logging infrastructure is overloaded or offline or something.

Occasionally I see that the inverter is offline in the app, but these are usually delayed statuses so by the time I check the logger it's online again. It's confusing.

You could also either get an Esp32 (+-R200) or you could use the Solarman Dongle and and connect your inverter to Home Assistant.

Will allow you to do all sorts of other automations with other smart devices on your network as well as giving you live data reporting.

Can now also change the "System Work Mode"  settings on the inverter from Home Assistant.

Wow I was not aware! Thanks!

A video comparison of the ESP32, Solarman and Sunsynk integrations into home assistant is on my todo list for video's.

My personal take is that the ESP32 is the best option if you have R200 to spend and a bit or time available to set it up.

I would be very interested to see how an ESP32 can be used to integrate Solarman into HA. Make that video! Pretty please.

Good day.

I have a 6kw Megarevo with 2 x 6kwh batteries, data logger LSW-3-C.

NET light solid, COM light dead, ready light flashing normal.

Logger was working great for 2 days and inverter went offline. Logger still online at 72% signal level.

Did the basics, restarted logger, pluged it out, pluged it in, reset, restarted inverter unbind, created a new account, boys.... Everything.

Inverter came online after 4 days for about 4 mins and dropped out again..

At a frustrated level of destruction at the moment.

Please Help!

I had the same issue after it working for two years with no issue. Tried a brand new logger and still the same. It work for a day or two then keep dropping and then work again etc.

Try turning off "802.11ax / WiFi 6 mode" in your router and test for a few days.

Doing this fixed my issue for now. Both loggers are connecting with no issues.
