Posted March 24, 20232 yr I'm amazed that neither Sunsynk, Hubble or Riot has any way to alert me when the SOC is low. It seems like an important feature. I would be able to switch off non-essentials to conserve power. How do you guys catch low SOC in time?

I am sure there are very many people that will be in the market for a good priced remote indication monitor. We see so many with Bluetooth but one is not always within 10m range. Anybody know of such a loose gadget to add. A Sonoff DC power function like the 220V AC version will come in handy.Â

With the sunsynk you could use the Aux port to achieve this automatically, switching on and off items based on SoC. It would require rewiring things though See here for a handy document explaining this : https://powerforum.co.za/topic/15371-sunsynk-aux-port-export-not-working-as-configured/?do=findComment&comment=146698 Edited March 24, 20232 yr by abd7
July 17, 20231 yr @HeinDuPlessis If you are still looking for an easy solution you can have a look at PVBiz https://www.pvbiz.co.za/ They provide direct Whatsapp notifications for any metric your Inverter provides to your cloud platform including grid on/off, no additional hardware needed and very reliable and close to real time. Ciao

Ciao What will it take to get such services to use correct units like to measure load in kW and not kWh? Edited July 17, 20231 yr by Scorp007

Hi @Scorp007, we report correctly in the correct units for load, as you can see in our Whatsapp notification as well as Reporting. In Watts or kW I see there is a typo on the Website for the Free Subscription Load which shows kWh, Will get that fixed asap:), thanks for that Â

It’s seems like the most important notification you would want. If it works for grid disconnect, this should be easy to implement.

The app is excellent and grid-disconnect notifications work well; but not being able to specify a low-battery threshold (or even having the app notify based on the value specified on the inverter itself) is puzzling.
