January 23, 20251 yr Hi, I need some help. I have 3 Lumo 5kwH batteries connected and a Deye 5kW inverter. I wanted to ask, for the CT connection which direction must the arrow face? Towards the inverter or towards the grid supply? Also where is the correct place to connect it? Before the main incoming breaker or after the breaker supplying AC to the inverter?
January 23, 20251 yr Usually pointing to the grid(That's how mine is connected), and definitely placed before the incoming main breaker on the LIVE(Brown or red usually) line. If after installing the ct your readings look wrong then swap the ct coil wires at the inverter or check and make sure your settings are correct. Edited January 23, 20251 yr by WannabeSolarSparky

Off topic but I'm doing my application for SSEG and want to find out who did this diagram for you? If you did it yourself would you consider doing one for a fee? I have no idea how to do any of it.

I notice you have a Sunsynk. In my Sunsynk manaual it shows the arrow towards the inverter. Then on the other hand Deye shows the arrow towards the GRID. Circuit from the Sunsynk manual. If you were talking about the diagram @WannabeSolarSparky posted on Thursday - it is from the Sunsynk manual with some editing I guess.

Or go here: Image Search I do not think those diagrams are suitable for SSEG applications. I may be wrong, I am sure some of the installers here on the forum could guide you on that.
January 26, 20251 yr @BarendD, are you located in Cape Town, if so, you don't have to do a line drawing, it is part of the online application, if not, you can use a drawing provided by CoCT. I have always pointed the arrow on the CT towards the inverter in my installations and reversed the wires at the inverter if the CT is showing negative.

Can you advise on where I can get the coct drawings? You also have a WhatsApp message from me Edited January 26, 20251 yr by BarendD
