April 28Apr 28 I am purchasing a house and it has the above mentioned invertor and 7e 540w panels on one string. I believe the sunsync has duel MPPT's and was wondering if they really are separate. As in can I put another string on the invertor that is not the same panel spec as the existing one? Also I believe I could add one 540w panel to make an 8 panel string and still be well within the max V. I know one should not mix and match panels but getting hold of a 540 to put in there is not so easy. I cant imagine there will be an issue with any panel as long as its current throughput is higher or equal to the panels in series already? Also the second string. Help me understand. will there be issues if I just use 8 panels of higher wattage? Also, I am thinking of putting a Dyness Powerbrick Max in as the storage. That which is there is not adequate and will need replacing. Any issues with comms between Sunsync and Dyness?

Any issues with comms between Sunsync and Dyness?I would think not, same manufacturer, just Sunsynk is a different label/Deye rebranded and sold under the Sunsynk name. But others may know more, as it is, I doubt that Sunsynk or Deye actually manufacture batteries, so yet again some other manufacurers items being rebranded...

The OP is enquiring about pairing a Sunsynk inverter to a Dyness battery (not Deye), which is an independent battery brand with a wide compatibility to various inverters on the market. I have a suspicion, I don't actually know in black and white, but the OP could check that battery's compatibility list for the Sunsynk or maybe even the Deye brand to be sure.

I can't say for certain, but I'm pretty sure one of the protocols supported by the Sunsynk should match with Dyness. again. someone who actually knows the Dyness batteries should be able to confirm... personally, @JTK, I recommend homebrewing batteries, more cost effective and you actually have a better idea what makes up your battery....

Any issues with comms between Sunsync and Dyness? No issues, I have the Powerbox Pro's and have been all good. Using comms via CAN but they are also capable of comms via RS485, but not at the same time one or the other.

Was plug & play, been working flawlessly for the past 2 years.

May 21May 21 Author OK. I will only have my funds come lose when my sold(only sold now) house registration goes through. Therefore I will go fetch my battery bank at my old house and use at the new house. Sorry another question. What comms cable for the Pylons with the Sunsync. Bear in mind I dont hav"the cables that came with" I already converted my Pylon comms cable to work with my Victron setup and the other house cable is Sunsync to shoto. I need a cable for Sunsync to UP5000's Anyone that can perhaps help with a quick pinout for me to crimp? I was going to wait but waking up to no power (after the power went out last night) just made me take this decision on short notice
