  1. we need to see how you've setup your time of use settings before we can assist - often there is something there thats causing this. FWIW a constant draw from lights, fridge and other devices can get your batteries down to that level. What level were you hoping to achieve?

  3. Sorry for my misleading statement about hubble being 16s, I assumed with the 51v incorrectly
  4. That makes sense - only YOU can really determine if its worth doing it. As an example on my end is setup like this - no grid charge at all
  5. Hubbles are 16s batteries. Good luck with the experiment - keen to hear how it pans out
  6. On this screen you have grid charge selected (ticked) This will charge your batteries from the grid to that minimum SOC. The grid trickle feed is on another screen and unrelated to this. So between 9am and 1pm if your batteries were to fall below 40% for example - the grid will be used to charge them up to 40% - whereas you could use panels instead - thats the lack of efficiency
  7. Winter is not the best time to be honest as the sun angle is lower - so we are all suffering in terms of PV production. I am topping out at 4kw on a 6kw install for example. If in doubt ask installer to come back and prove the panel wattages and recheck connections
  8. With a Deye / Sunsynk 8kw you will be limited on your Load when there is no loadshedding to approx 12kw - but i think some have seen higher.

  10. Interesting that they (installer said that) - I suppose we could argue all day about the best way to do it. My setup is as per manual and haven't had any issues .. maybe its 6 of 1 and 1/2 dozen of another
  11. Very nice install and glad its working great. Just check over time the charge / discharge of both batteries to ensure they are charging and discharging at the same rate. Dyness recommend a different parallel battery connection

  14. Only comment i can make is that you have grid charge ticked for all your day time slots - which reduces the efficiency of your overall system (less panel use and more grid use). You might want to change that for daytime slots
  15. So to clarify - your total load during loadshedding when you switch on the microwave is 1.5kw? That seems low and you are right at 1.5A it shouldn't impact the battery or other items. My microwave alone is 2kw and that was the perspective I was commenting on - perhaps there is more in the inverter settings that could be impacting this
  16. I have 14,4kwh Dyness pack and during LS when i start the microwave there IS a perceptible dimming of lights for a split second. You are very close to the discharge limit of 1 battery so its normal that that's how the house would react
  17. Lithium mode 00 is the correct ne for Hubble. Explain the "SOC % seems more accurate?" statement?
  18. Did this start recently? Was there a change in inverter firmware? If not then you probably need to get them looked at as there might be defective cells
  19. What are your discharge amps set to? Is the inverter talking to the batteries via CAN comms?
  20. Generally you can't mix and match - you'd have to get another BX5100 - but I think there are enterprising guys here who might be able to assist you with that. You'd need a 16s battery with voltages similar to the Dyness.

  22. Yes that should be all - i am assuming the installer setup the voltages when they installed?
  23. Fridge and freezer are negligible if they were bought recently and are A rated 18000btu inverter will run you approx 1.5-2kWh if working hard
  24. The battery % might not be the best for lithium and BMS would be more accurate but that's up to you
  25. The easy one - If you want to use your panels most efficiently i would untick grid charge for the first 3 of your timeslots. Let the PV charge the batteries and get used by the home then ONLY really rely on Eskom for the night slots The slightly more challenging one - Deye and Hubble can communicate using the CAN cable the protocol so you should be able to select Lithium on the battery mode screen. If you select your LiBMS screen you should then see the battery % as reported by the BMS
