On the TS website do you see both the HA machine and your android phone? Is your HA machine the one exposing the subnet?

I had 2 updates done last week on both an old and new 5kw and both were done while load was running...so this is jut a cop out in my view - nevertheless they (sunsynk) messed up the upgrade, bricked the inverter and should reimburse / provide recourse to the user

I'm not sure tbh - i think you may need to et your installer out to check. When you are charging / discharging the batteries do the loads on the inverters keep up with each other, e.g. If you are charging at 2.5kw, is each inverter providing 1.25kw to the battery or is one doing more than the other (by a large margin)?

I would agree with this IF the user downloaded the software themselves, plugged in a network cable then proceeded to do the install - there is inherent risk there. But the outline clearly shows the processes were performed by someone from sunsynk - so the risk is all on them and sunsynk as a company. I think OP is well within their rights because they followed the published process and it resulted in a broken device - something that can (and has) happened to any of us (@WAP) included

The Pylons are great for this backward and forwards compatibility. The newer battery - UP5000 for example in this case - would be the master battery and have comms cables between all other batteries in the bank. The inverter will comm with this master and betold that the size of the bank is X. This works 100% ad i know there is a user on MyBBwho has a system like this

You are on the right track, you should have the CAN cable from master to inverter then also another comms cable from master to the secondary battery. Is your battery picked up by the inverter properly (i.e. is it set to Lithium and not Lead Acid) How are the batteries wired together and to the inverter? a picture could help as well

Yes you can change settings using Solarman - you DO need to get either your installer or the Deye support to enable this for you - its not on by default You do need Business / Pro - you can't do this on Smart Not sure if you can migrate data - best would be to check with Deye on this

6500w is max for the inverter as a whole. Just note its the max DC the inverter will take either to charge batteries or power loads or a combo. You can have more than 6500w (to a point) as long s you do not go over the V max per mppt. This is beneficial in winter / cloudy days but you waste production in summer I would advocate 1 string of 8 panels on 1 mppt - then add more to the 2nd mppt when you can

Ah OK, wasn't aware of the DC limitations on the CB. Interesting as on my 5kw parallel setup I only set the limit on the master and that limit (115a in my case) is propagated to the secondary inverter. I'm not hitting any DC limits yet though (125a)

This ^ The newer Deye / Sunsynks use a single comm (CAN) port and your battery BMS (CAN) cable AND Solar Assistant cable need to plug into that one port. You need a splitter of sorts to enable the one port to be for both Battery BMS and Solar Assistant

1 - You can definitely set charge and discharge to 100Amps if you wish - some say its better to make it lower but 0.5c is fine. It will then charge your bank at a max of 5kw (2.5*2) - filing it up faster. It will also draw from the bank faster should the need arise - so in loadshedding you can run devices that draw up to 5kw with no issues. For my 3 battery bank i have it at 115A - way less than the 150A it can do but that works for me 2 - You can deactivate it after a few charge and discharge cycles - BMS will manage the balancing daily. 3 - Set the max charge on Batt set 2 to the same as you have on Battery set 1 4 - You can disable Gen charge / Signal as I am assuming you don't have a generator connected. Leave grid charge selected - at least until you get your panels then you can decide if you want to charge batteries from the grid

That's exactly it. You'll need to revisit that screen when you get Solar to find the right SOC and times for your house. But for UPS untick ToU

That last image does you everything you need to know in terms of max charge. Because you don't have solar, once the batteries get below 80% they are charged up again up to 80%. If you had solar it would push all the way up to 100% Since you want a UPS you can untick time of use. It will keep your batteries at 100%
