High pitched noise from Sunsynk 5 kW inverter
Thanks for this. Is the procedure a "remote grid change" specifically?

High pitched noise from Sunsynk 5 kW inverter
So my old SS 5kw wasn't too bad with the pitched noise... Upgraded to v3384 and it totally disappeared. The new 5kw though is very bad even on v3384...

I shudder to even ask what was running to need 16.7kw

Deye 8kw Inverter Solarman question
Interestingly the feature was only added on SS a few months ago But you are correct - its not available on Solarman. You can infer this through checking for the Grid Frequency or Voltage though

Dyness batteries maximum charge??
Share you battery settings screens for us to input

Dyness batteries maximum charge??
You know you can change the settings right? It's not a lithium issue but an installer setting issue You can discharge them to 20% regularly with no perceptible impact on life. The 80% top end is probably due to the Voltage settings the Installer chose. Is the battery connected to the inverter with comms? I have 3 * 48100s and they charge to 100%

Simple Sunsynk + Dyness
[April 2023] System has been rock solid with the exception of the AC Overloads we had bene getting quite frequently - mainly due to running too much at the sametime. Ended up buying another 5kw SS and 4.8kw Dyness and got these installed yesterday. The new SS came with the new dongle so now running both Solarman and Sunsynk dongles. Hasn't seemed to be an issue (for now) - just trying to get the inverters on the same firmware. Old one is on 3382-0513 and new one is on 3381-1515 Excuse the walls - these will be patched up soon

Use excess solar power to heat geyser - Sunsynk 8kv, Solar Assistant and HomeAssistant
A simple one would be to say: If the time is between 11:30 and 2:30 and battery SOC > 75% turn on geyser [for 2 hours] else leave geyser off you should be able to do this with the front-end automations quite easily

12kW Sunsynk, 24 x 475W Akcome Bi-facial Solar Panels & 15kW EVE & JBD LFP pack with Battery Comms to the Sunsynk
Interesting- that LoadFed screen looks very similar to Solar Assistant - is it open source?

solar assistant home assistant energy dashboard
i'm not sure if the Echo show can display web pages - i do not have one to test. Maybe you can create a custom command to open the SA page? or a HA page?

Home Assistant Inverter Integration Options
Their resources are pretty good on the website. Once you get the Pi and connect the cables and your SA is working fine, you'll need to amend a few settings to open up MQTT comms between the inverter and Solar Assistant. You also have to enable MQTT on Home Assistant then the data should flow seamlessly

Switchover time on inverter
Which inverter is it? It shouldn't cause them to restart. Theuxpower we got installed used to do that but we upgraded the firmware and it's not doing it anymore

Solar Install
Very nice... Glad you're gonna be able to miss the cuts

Solar Set up assistance required
My mother in law is... System working seamlessly with no issues. She also has 7*455w panels
-
Solar Assistant DC power supply
Yes. I have mine connected to the inverter

Time to charge batteries
Depends on the charge amps you have set on the inverter. More amps, less time to charge. The amps are impacted by amount of PV available when charging from panels. For you the Max PV charge is likely to be about 2300w (48amps) as there will be some baseload. So approx 2.x hours

Sunsynk/Deye Specs - What even is the truth
Although the hardware is the same they may have differentiated it at a software level - they don't HAVE to be the same. Its also likely that one of them is more current than the other (from a documentation and tracking changes perspective)

Home Assistant and MQTT upgrade issue affecting Node Red
MQTT is one of those integrations that CANT be allowed to break 😅

Deye 8kw plus 2xAverge
The Deye comes with a wifi dongle that is integrated with Solarman - the platform is decent for day to day monitoring of what's going on from a PV, Inverter and battery perspective. There IS a delay in getting the data so if you want / need more time-sensitive data then something like Solar Assistant would be your best bet - it IS paid for though The batteries should hopefully come with the required cables, if not the averge website should guide in terms of the pin out you need to use (attached). You will need to setup the percentages for cut, restart etc on the inverter according to your use cases and needs
