My driving assumption is that solar will have the batteries at or close to 100% by the end of the day then we use battery until 95% then grid. I've changed it since and that 95% is now 75% so use less grid until 9pm Edit: I can also trigger grid charge manually / via automation if i need to

probably how they were installed - do you know whether the installer installed all 6 on one mppt

Should be fine generally as long as that 8kw has enough airflow for the hot days
