5kW Sunsynk - need advice please
Just here to echo what the esteemed users above have said. South is a big No No in SA / southern hemisphere - your literally throwing away money and production. Min 4 panels per MPPT . North is best, else East / West. Any installer worth their salt should know this

Sunsynk 5kw + Dyness bx51100 sudden BMS comms loss
I wouldn't say so many - but there is an increase in the incidence. Would be good to understand what firmware the inverters are on etc
-
Sunsync Inverter and Solar enquiry
Yes the Sunsynk will be able to do all of that - it has a number of work modes that you can tweak as you like I'm not sure about the second item though - you'd have to ask other CPT based installers / users who ahve gone through the process

Deye Battery Backup System - High Electricity Consumption
We also need to see how the system has bene setup and configured - Could you share your system work mode page

setting for Time of Use in system work mode
Shouldn't be any undue stress to either component - the ideal settings are those that meet your needs

Sunsynk 5kw + Dyness bx51100 sudden BMS comms loss
Tried different network cables? I'm just shooting in the dark here now

Sunsynk 5kw + Dyness bx51100 sudden BMS comms loss
This is a very very bizarre case - have you tried shutting the whole system down and restarting it again? Might be worth a shot in these eskom filled days

Luxpower dongle - help needed. And beware of Solar Advice
Get hold of Luxpower support they will be able to sort you out

SunSynk Logger Integration into Home Assistant
A simpler way would be to create an input helper that combines the states of 2 or more different entities

Inverter Changeover Time
there is an operating mode where you can set it to UPS which has a shorter cutover time
-
Sunsynk 5kw + Dyness bx51100 sudden BMS comms loss
Would be interesting to know if any of your inverters got a new firmware loaded or what? Seems too concentrated to be random
-
Sunsynk 12 kW capacity management
The battery charging is managed more by your charge amps which would be battery dependent. Assuming you have a 12kwh battery that is rated at 1C then yes your maths above would be correct.

Sunsynk Eco 8kw NTP server time sync issue
Damn sorry man, then it definitely needs SS to support you. I had a similar issue with Solarman dongle and putting it on manual fixed it
-
Sunsynk Eco 8kw NTP server time sync issue
From the note you are using the Sunsynk app - i do not have that so can't comment. What you could do is until sync on the inverter time settings and set it manually - it should then hold the time On the older solarman dongles you had to change the time zone of the dongle so that you don't get time drift / get assigned a GMT+1 with daylight savings timezone

Wrong display on Deye Cloud or My Installation is not good
It depends how your wiring has been done. Are all your circuits on the Essential (UPS) port? If so then all your home loads will appear as UPS / Essential. If some of your loads are not essential then they would appear under Home. Nothing to worry about as long as that explanation aligns with how the wiring was done

Is it worth trying to adjust the angle of my array?
That looks like an impressive mounting kit, congrats. I am not certain the effort would be worth the marginal benefit - perhaps others who have done smoothing similar can comment with empirical data

Dyness battery setup --> Deye 8K inverter
I'd suggest heading over to the Firmware thread and checking with other Deye users what they are on

Dyness battery setup --> Deye 8K inverter
Your BMS comms are working as intended. The lack of SoH might be a firmware version issue - i know on the sunsynk i only got it on quite a recent firmware update - might be the same with Deye. What inverter firmware versions do you see?

Sunsynk 5kw + Dyness bx51100 sudden BMS comms loss
Make sure youve double checked the settings for AGM on the battery - it will work well. Still key to understand why comms went down so installer prob needs to come out
-
Luxpower SNA5000 Solar settings
If you click on the Set icon (far right) you should have a screen like this (attached) You should then be able to set the charge / discharge settings as you see fit based on time/Soc/voltage For the Fan there is a menu option on the Inverter itself where you can lower the fan speed, it’s set to 70% by default but you can lower it to ease the noise

Sunsynk 5kw + Dyness bx51100 sudden BMS comms loss
Push comes to shove you can run the battery in AGM (voltage) setting until the comms can be sorted

Goodwe (Viessmann rebranded) Inverter cutting PV production
If there is no load / export to grid then there is nowhere for this potential energy to go. So the panels just don't produce it. You can maximise through a combination of: Increased loads during the day (geyser / washing machine / dryer / aircon) [load shifting] Exporting to the grid (provided this is allowed in your area) Getting an additional battery to store the extra energy (not cost efficient) If your inverter supports it you could also power some non-essential devices, stoves / ovens / geysers once the batteries are full mine as an example showing the same ^ A better spread of load and production ^^
