New Home Automation Setup Advice
Which devices are you looking for that are Zigbee? If you get Sonoff devices and integrate them into Home Assistant then you can use Sonoff Lan which means the devices work on the LAN. Tuya also has LocalTuya which does the same - then you wont need the web

Led light when loadshedding is on
Yes you would - that would be best in order to maintain stability.

Led light when loadshedding is on
Once you get both systems up and running you can follow this guide >> https://solar-assistant.io/help/home-assistant/setup Ensure your MQTT broker is working on HA first then you should be able to get the mqtt messages from SA

What is wrong with my Panels? Or, Is it the Inverter?
Heat could be a factor - see how it performs today with the fan on. I know the 5kw derates once DC temps go above 75

Luxpower SNA5000WPV inverter - is battery communication cable necessary?
HI Edma, that battery and inverter can work together if the correct settings and cable pin outs are used. You would need to find the correct pin out for Luxpower and Dyness

Resumption of utility power to circuits wired to inverter
How much power is the appliance using? it might be more than the inverter load can handle, e.g. if you inverter is a 3kw and your total essentials load is 3kw then you switch on something using 1.5kw then the inverter might complain

What is wrong with my Panels? Or, Is it the Inverter?
Have you changed any settings on the battery / inverter or received a firmware update?

Advice required: Built-in inverter and batteries with solar options...
If you didn't even know about 3-phase then its likely your place is single phase (as are most houses). An audit will help you size the inverter and batteries that you'll need for your setup. At a very high level (don't quote me) you should be fine with an 8kw inverter and 5-10kwh battery + 8-16 panels. But lets get the data first and see where that lands us. What is your budget?

Led light when loadshedding is on
Do you have budget to buy one? You could get a relatively decent spec SFF on carb for 2k

Advice required: Built-in inverter and batteries with solar options...
The 12kw SS is a 3-phase system. Do you need 3 phase power? The amount of power on each phase is also limited - i think its 6-3-3 but i could be wrong. Have you done a power audit - even for day or so to understand your peak usage and usage trends?

Led light when loadshedding is on
This is how im also running my HA. I use Tailscale VPN for remote access - its free

Led light when loadshedding is on
They serve similar but distinct functions. You can have SA alone but that won't allow you to do automations. You can monitor your inverter and change settings from a web / mobile app. You could also have HA alone and that would allow you to control lights, speakers etc but you wouldn't know what your solar / inverter system is doing. Having them both allows you to then do automations based on what your solar is doing

Sunsynk 5kW - Charge from PV by day and discharge from batteries by night
Can you share your settings screens, specifically your System work mode 1 and 2 screens
-
Led light when loadshedding is on
Remember SA is more for Solar / Inverter monitoring only. HA then takes this to the next level by allowing you to change device state based on Solar / inverter status. e.g. If there is loadshedding in the next 30mins but the battery is below 50% then use the grid to charge the batteries. Then when LS hits turn off any appliance using more than 500w

Got one of these installed at my MIL's place and its been working ok. Had a few teething issues initially but it was resolved via software updates. The SNA version has loud fans so bear that in mind if installing indoors. We have 7*455 panels so its way overpowered for her use case - she only has 1 battery and that is sufficient for her. App and Web monitoring and remote functionality changes are decent as well.

Mecer 5kw Inverter With Dyess Battery Communication Cable
Cable from Inverter goes to the IN port on the battery. The OUT port is used for intra-battery comms when you have more than 1 battery connected. When you change the PIN settings you need to restart your battery - switch it off then after about 5 seconds on again and hold the SW button for 3 seconds

Mecer 5kw Inverter With Dyess Battery Communication Cable
Axperts use dip switch 2 with that dyness battery

Deye 8Kw - Battery Setting query.
The battery settings work in this manner. Assume there is no Grid and no PV - so at night. The battery will be used until it gets to the 35% at which point it will shout and say i am on low battery. It will continue being used until the shutdown level (20%) and then it shuts off. The next morning PV comes online and charges the battery until 50% then the battery will start discharging again. I used PV in this example but it can be grid as well. You can change those settings to whatever is recommended by the battery manufacturer or what you are comfortable with - my settings are Shutdown - 10 Low Batt - 12 Restart - 15

Thank you - i dunno about lessons but happy to walk you through them and share the YAML code as well - a lot of it is a mixture of copy-paste and trying to figure it out as well. Also checkout ese videos >>

Sunsynk 5kw continually drawing from grid even with enough solar production...
And there IS a setting you can change to lower this - but as @Jacques Ester mentioned there is the risk it would trip your meter if prepaid

Best App - Deye Inverter?
Solar Assistant will sort you out with minimal fuss - ticks both requirements you currently are lacking Having said that if you registered on Solarman Pro / Business as an installer you could get access to functions such as remote setting updates
