Aaah brilliant, gave the cable a yank at the mc4 connection(after turning off the entire system obviously) and it pulled out so obviously a bad crimping job by me. Replaced and sorted. I'll actually do a little yank test on all the connections on the new DC and AC combiner boxes to make sure all is happy Thanks guys. Legends!!

Hi Guys I have a 6kw solis hybrid machine for 8months now. Been very happy with it. I have 10 x 550w panels on a single pv side as it is within the limits of the mppt. Pic attached to show pv voltage and current. I have noticed the positive pv cable gets very hot to the point that the mc4 plug is showing signs of melting. I don't think this is normal? I've up onto the roof and the positive cable is not hot at all coming from the panels. It's only hot between the DC db box and the inverter? The pv is a 6mm pv cable and is around 12 meters of cable from panels to inverter. To resolve this should I split the panels and use the 2nd input?
  3. Looks to be a bms issue. The soc is not dropping with the voltage. My seplos bms did this. Been perfect since I updated it. What bms do this bsl batteries use?
  4. Are you saying the voltage is dropping(which is normal) but the SOC is staying at 100%? I initially had this issue but the bms firmware fixed this(seplos bms). So now while the battery is not in use the voltage and soc drop together until voltage recovery point is reached then it charges back to 100%. Mine looses 5% over a 12hr period
  5. @slipx what are the chances of being able to display random entities on the card? Like I would like to see my water tank levels as well as geyser water temp on the card.
  6. Why don't you just put the serial number of the BMS? My v3 has a serial number on the unit and it shows it on the pc software
  7. Is that powering an estate or what?
  8. I have just logged a ticket
  9. Let us know the outcome of this. I am wanting to do something similar so I can run my geyser on the non essential side. Right now the geyser eats up my battery
  10. Weird. My v3 came with it all. I got my BMS straight from Seplos. to mount the screen I just glued it in from the back with a glue gun
  11. It came with the BMS along with the button caps. I extended the display cable with a cat5 network cable. It's about 3m in length
  12. Are your rj45 ports+lights on a separate board or all mounted on the BMS PCB? Led lights you honestly don't need to see. I extended the display cable and i have installed the display near the inverter. Terrible pic but you get the idea
  13. Can I use a domain I have parked in GoDaddy?
  14. I went pretty safe on my fuse choice. My inverter has a max battery charge/discharge of 135A. My BMS is 150A so I went with a 160A fuse on the positive and negative cables Oh hang on you talking about between the BMS and battery. Again I would go with a fuse rated slightly higher than your BMS
  15. Where can I get this Dashboard from? I have my Seplos BMS pulling into HA via Modbus. I like this dashboard tho
  16. Strange issue. I have a v3 seplos and I had an issue with the Bluetooth connection. Turns out the issue was with my phone but if you need I have a WhatsApp number for seplos tech support. Very helpful
  17. This is a game changer. 100 times easier to setup and the data polling is perfect every time. Thank you for your effort and the patience you have had in helping me. I am a total noob at HA and you have helped every time!!
  18. They are obviously the future but useless untill we have compatible BMS and inverters. Sodium cells have large voltage drops. Down to 1v and in a 16s configuration that's a voltage range from 51.2 - 16v
  19. I can't get dynamic colour. I've added it like I think it should but it doesn't seem to work? I'm missing something 🤔
  20. @Greglsh yeah no problem you can get in touch with me. I import from China and Taiwan every month so I can add one in a shipment for you
  21. Brilliant let me know when have the seplos integrated. I would love that info as well
  22. How's your diy battery pack performing? I've been very happy with mine even during discharge the cell difference is always 3-6mv. Very impressive
  23. Wow that's some power packed in there. 16s2p configuration I'm guessing? What BMS are you using?
  24. It probably is the seplos firmware only difference I reckon is the startup and standby display where it says 'Seplos welcomes you'
  25. is there a way to hide that Essential_power block?
