I just go back to the charger tab & put the absorption/float back to 52.0/51.0 before loading the ESS assistant to correct that right? Understood - Yes DVCC is already loaded i'm just looking to add this ESS to get rid of that alarming nothing else. Ok thank you very much sir & the setting for "keep battery charged" will that be found over in the remote console once i load the ESS via the ve config?

@plonkster i also asked that guy in the Victron community that had fixed it using ESS & he replied with thread there - https://community.victronenergy.com/comments/50458/view.html I went & loaded dummy in VE config & gone thru loading ESS & it ended up looking to set up this way That look normal ? Then after that is loaded i must go find where is the setting for "keep Batteries charged" maybe in the ess settings part of the terminal rather? In the setup of ESS it wanted Ah so i entered 150 for 3 x 3000b's & i think that is how its led to wanting to raise the absorption + float voltages as currently they are set at 52.0V + 51.0V For the other settings i followed what is listed under ESS settings here https://www.victronenergy.com/live/battery_compatibility:pylontech_phantom Am i looking ok to proceed with that out of dummy mode? Dvcc is already setup

Ok thanks Plonkster - For Option 3 I need to check but i have it in my head if mains fail whilst the master is in that alarm state that it fails to deliver battery power but maybe i'm wrong, will check next time it throws it. I'm not currently on ESS setup at all but thanks for those 2 options to think about moving to. I watched all of the ESS vid & there was nothing i saw that really jumped out to use.

Also just seen this comment - would this be a possible usable approach to use remembering that i'm backup/UPS only? https://community.victronenergy.com/comments/50458/view.html

What i'm seeing seems to support that & I'm still getting the alarm even set at 52.2/51.8 - i gave it load on the 21st to have the alarm go off again this am 24th. 14th i set it to 52.2/51.8 @plonkster - Cheif any idea a setting to put it at 90% to try?
  7. 2una replied to Elbow's topic in Batteries
Will give 52,2/51.8 a try & see if any differant - logging this here so i have a date change to go back on

    Ok thanks

Turning the master off/on sorts it out till next time it appears again. It would also do it amongst load shedding times when it was getting discharge use so that also don't seem to rectify the problem. @wolfandy Is yours still doing this or you find a fix ?
  10. 2una replied to Elbow's topic in Batteries
So been set at 52.5/51.8 since i guess march 22nd Multi II 5000 - Firmware is 469 3 x 3000B Pylontechs Used only as backup - no solar Was doing the same on a Multi II 3000 Any further ideas to try?
  11. 2una replied to Elbow's topic in Batteries
Tagging along here as my Pylon bank is also tripping the master on odd occasion - moved it the other day to 52.5 + 52.0 & got it happen 24 hours later again so will now try what your suggesting there Plonkster & see if it will stop.
  12. Mine also does that little jump from 88% but it doesn't look like its just in 1 minute tho - closer to 20-30mins here Also Victron - both a 3kva multiplus II + a 5kva looks like the same pattern my batts are the pylontech 3.5kwh x 3
  13. I think your wires are crossed there ,that's why i brought it up...the older tech is non inverter type. Startup load will be greater but i'm not sure about running load
  14. Before you get an error here working things out aren't you NON inverter type aircon ? or you changing it?. Maybe its just the start up load that makes a differance between the 2 anyway - i don't know but someone else here will
  15. Victron MultiPlus II 48/3000/35-32 Inverter March 2019 there was no 5000VA stock so i brought/used this till now ,is less than 1 year old & in as new condition. Only used as UPS R15,000 Private sale so no VAT. Durban Specs are here : https://www.victronenergy.com/upload/documents/Datasheet-MultiPlus-II-inverter-charger-EN.pdf
  16. I like my Venus even if its just for being able check what's been going on with battery's. No Venus no VRM ain't it?
  17. It's not maybe powerassist active/kicking in?
  18. I'm not running a quattro but a multiplus II on a change over & it accepts generator power fine (honda eu30is).
  19. https://www.fin24.com/Economy/Eskom/eskom-colder-weather-signals-load-shedding-risk-this-week-20190408-2 I think that chart that DeepBass9 posted has a bit more truth to it than what Gordhan had to say a week ago 2019 levels sitting in the bottom left......
  20. That cable is Victron part number ASS030720018 I got mine with my Venus thru Current Automation, was r290 You also need a standard cat cable RJ45 to RJ45 for the other side ,from the Venus to the inverter, the plug ends for that come with the Venus if you want to make your own
  21. So in this example - what figure do CocT use? I've seen it says KVA not W so the model number eg 3000VA or 5000VA or the cont output power 3000VA or 5000VA or the max apparent feed in power 2500VA or 4000VA
  22. 2una replied to Mistral's topic in Inverters
MP II 3000 here.....I'm only hooked up for UPS & AC2 ain't used, only pulled criticals to the inverter, rest got left on the db - had no issues...no idea where to find which HW version it is, don't see it in the consol.
