My DIY Home Automation
Thanks for the info, I went for a similiar route. I used the Sonoff TH16 and coupled it to a 25 amp solid state relay. The Sonoff is flashed with Tasmota and I have set hard coded rules for the power to be turned off and stay off at a set temperature. This allows the unit to act like a mechanical thermostat should it loose connection to my home assistant server. In home assistant I have set up timing schedules with desired temperatures to control the geyser and maximise my solar availability. With the added functionality of being able to measure and track the geyser temperatures and standing losses I'm planning to log a baseline over the next 2 weeks and then add pipe insulation and a geyser blanket. Want to see how much this really improves the standing losses.

Axpert/Mecer not working with generator.
Which Axpert unit are you using?
-
Axpert Parallel - ICC
What was your battery voltage when the switch occured?

Axpert Parallel - ICC
Check your settings under the battery tab. It might be that you have one automations activated which sets your charging state as per the rules specified

Axpert King not Using Solar correctly
Looking at the correlation between the PV input power and the load input power it would appear that the PV input drops when the load drops. This is due to your Solar balance being disabled, try enabling the solar balance option

Axpert King Inverter Firmware
Hi, could you please share the latest firmware files. Thanks

Axpert King not Using Solar correctly
It would be interesting to see your outcome of the test. I also have a King with 12x 335w panels, currently only achieving a max peak of 2800w.

Aaah great thank you. Sorry for another question. If you have removed the normal thermostat, how are you feeding the temperature information back to the Geyserwise unit? I'm wondering what temperature sensor the Geyserwise thermostat is using and if it might be possible to tap into the temperature reading from the thermostat to the Geyserwise unit. That way one can keep the protection of the mechanical cut out.

Would you mind to show/ explain how you have added the DB18B20 to the thermostat?

Axpert Inverter switching to battery power at midday.
Thanks, I got the firmware update from the Aussie site. Updated and works great, even managed to get the BMS communication working with the Pylontech on a pre 2019 model (mine is a March 2018).

Axpert - strange behaviour (Potential MPPT issue)
Could also be that due to the high charging voltage that the battery bms went into protection mode

MECER Axpert KING 5KVA/5KW
Correct, it uses a RJ45 connector but requires a specific pin-out. See attached Pylontec Axpert VMIII-KING Configuration (used for cable, set battery dip switches to 1000).pdf

MECER Axpert KING 5KVA/5KW
ICC works great for remote monitoring. It uses a raspberry PI that connects to your wifi. You can monitor and control it from anywhere, I use VNC on my mobile to be able to log into the settings and desktop. All stats are posted in realtime to a website for easy monitoring

MECER Axpert KING 5KVA/5KW
Hi, The newer Axpert Kings (Feb 2019 +) can communicate directly with the Pylontech batteries. I think this would be a better solution as I had my RPI freeze a couple of times resulting in the batteries running dead. I would still use the RPI & ICC for monitoring purposes.

Hi, Do you maybe have the latest firmware for the Axpert King? I'm currently on 71.50
