Check on the battery settings page. Hit the down arrow to get to Battery settings mode page 2. Do you have grid-charging ticked? Try removing the tick if it's there. Then, on the system work mode

There should be a cable connected from the CAN port of the inverter to the battery CAN port. On home screen, tapping on the battery icon and then Li-BMS bottom right should give you the communication

And your BMS communication with battery is OK ? Can you see SOC and cell temp and all other things ?

Try to play a bit with batery shutdown , low batt and restart settings.
If the settings you have worked before , the only culprit could be a battery setting or miscommunication between battery and inverter.

I wold turn OFF everything , turn on battery , then inverter and see what happens.
What does Deye have to say about this problem ?

Hi. I've seen many such complaints about DYE inverters that people think they on solar during the day but actually not. Is this a DYE problem. I have not seen these type  of questions on Sunsynk inverters. Is my assumption correct. Also not only on this forum but some other people in our area complaining about the same thing..

Show the ouput of the system error codes. I would like to know why it disconnected power and when the power came back the system is not working correctly.

This sounds to be related to the battery/battery comms

What batteries do you have?

The only way it seems to work is if I manually cut off eskom

If it works when there is no grid this leads me to believe this is a settings issue. Are you able to confirm the following:

  1. Batteries are connected via CAN and communication between battery and inverter has been established?
  2. Battery settings is set to lithium
  3. Activate battery is off
  4. In system work mode, selling first is off
  5. Solar sell is off (on both load and CT)
  6. Energy pattern is set to load first
  7. Grid peak shaving is off
  8. Time of use is turned on
  9. All days of the week are selected under time of use

Then I am sure this is a battery comm / voltage setting problem , 100% !
I saw exactly the same problem with my Axpert licensed inverter when I've set "Back to battery" voltage to high.

How did you resolve it?

I've set the back to battery voltage a bit lower at 48V where as before I had them set at 49V ... then it went on battery again. (this inverter can not talk trough BMS  with the batteries).

As @Speedster if your inverter does not communicate with your batteries trough BMS then it will never work properly. Several times I asked if you can see battery information trough BMS and you did not answer.

There should be a cable connected from the CAN port of the inverter to the battery CAN port. On home screen, tapping on the battery icon and then Li-BMS bottom right should give you the communication status

That all looks in order and the battery is being used. Is your grid off at the moment?

Yes the grid is switched off

That is very weird. It's the type of behaviour one would expect from battery priority, or perhaps a high minimum battery %.

How do I lower the minimum battery percentage. Below is my time of use settings. The min was on all 20 percent but increased the 1pm slot to cater for load shedding

Tap on the setting you want to change and then use the up / down keys on the keypad below the screen.

... and hit the right mark to save the new settings.

Without having read the whole thing, set zero export to CT and check where your CT coil is installed - must be before all your loads.

Both are done
