September 28, 20223 yr I've just upgraded my battery bank 2 Pylontech US3000B's with additional 2 US3000C batteries. My existing 2 batteries had been in use for nearly 3 years now with about 550 cycles on them. Now when I check in ICC, the cycles on all 4 batteries is showing as zero. Is this normal?

As @PurePower suggested, make sure that all batteries are on the latest firmware - especially your older US3000B. And make sure that one of the US3000C is the master. Then everything should work

Upfront: Agree that the batteries are working without problems in the sense of charging/discharging energy When I in the past added an extra US3000B to an existing stack of US3000B (with the newest as Master), ICC stopped displaying cycles for all but the new battery. When I did a bit of problem finding, I realized that the new battery came with a newer firmware than my older ones. Ones I upgraded the firmware on the older ones to match the newer one, all info was displayed correctly again in ICC (without any changes/updates made to ICC) Similar experience when adding a US3000C and running SolarAssistant But to me this rather points to a comms problem between the different firmware versions of the Pylon and maybe changes to how cycle information is communicated In any case, upgrade the firmware on your older ones and you should be sorted
October 5, 20223 yr Good day, I am going to add 2x US3000C batteries to my 4x US3000B battery pack. I will also be adding the Communications Hub as from past experience (my electrician), from the 5th battery there is sometimes issues and it is possible to loose one of those batteries without the Hub, I know Pylontec claim that it is only needed when going over 6x batteries. My questions however.... 1. Can the B's and the C's work fine when connected to the Hub without updating the firmaware? 2. Can the Hub work without being connected to the Inverters? As I have 2 Synapse 5.0+ inverters and no matter what you try, if you connect the RS cable, whatever you call it, the 2nd inverter in parrallel do what it want or give an error 61, if I remember correctly from previous attempt. 3. If all else fails, where can the firmware be obtained for the Pylontec US3000 batteries? 4. Is it easy to update firmware, what type of cables are needed? Thanks
