Etiennet got a reaction from WannabeSolarSparky in ICC Software Monitoring - are they still in business?Thank you! Really appreciate it.
Currently I have an Axpert MAX, but its in for repairs so it would be for that, but if the inverter cannot be fixed or I have the option for Payout, I might go Sunsynk or Deye. do you perhaps have links for these 3 so I can start reading up?

I think most Sunsynk operators & owners now need to start asking the question: Is the Sunsynk worth the Xtra bucks ? I have seen this exercise with Livoltek setting up a presence here in SA. It's very nice to have an address locally & say that you are present in the country. However, when most of your support is remotely not in that country, then are you really there or have you just setup an office with a name on the building & installed a glorified satellite office with a few staff.
No disrespect or scrutiny on Sunsynk, but if this RMA problems continue then I honestly say that one of these days guys like @BritishRacingGreen& others will start reverse engineering these machines to allow people to fix these machines themselves or at least have other sources of repair instead of the actual manufacturers or rebrander in Sunsynks case.
I cannot tell you how many different versions of the different models there are. Some have the ATS 240 & others don't. Comms ports change at random. I think it's a massive headache for the support staff themselves. What we have is chaos. If I need to wait for 2 or 3 months for an RMA I will definitely open the machine myself & attempt a fix. Nothing to lose except a few more months of frustration.
If anyone has a banged up machine please donate, I can't promise magic but we need to get independent here. Exactly the same as @Coulomb& @BritishRacingGreenhave made the humble Axpert. In the week I chatted with @BritishRacingGreenhe repaired a machine that was 7 years old that needed a new capacitor. Now 7 years is a long time & the machine needed a simple fix. Probably it will run another 7 yrs....
WE need this type of independence here in SA because manufacturers are really advertising one thing & then delivering something totally different in reality.

Etiennet got a reaction from Nexuss in Pylontech battery MixI have also noticed this on my system.

Etiennet got a reaction from razzor13bt in Axpert King not Using Solar correctlyYip my king is doing the same, only way too get PV to work right is to Set to SBU then manually change to SUB to ensure batteries don't go too low. Very frustrating.
U1 71.97 and u2 02.66
When Batteries are full. Pv is poor
When on SBU its fine.

Etiennet got a reaction from mzezman in Pylontech advice neededYes you can, and the 5000 becomes the master.

Etiennet got a reaction from Jacques Ester in Axpert King 5KW only giving 50% of the potential of solar arrays?Yip, if you are running 3S then that does not solve the issue as well. but it is frustrating! Loosing 1000+ Watts is crazy if you ask me! I have even gone as far as providing extra cooling for the King now it does not go over 38 'C but still does not make any difference.

Etiennet got a reaction from TimCam in Assistance Required with my Solar / Inverter SystemHi @Sportaloo
If I may, if you need a proper and professional person to come and assist you Steve87 is your man!
My system was also not performing, and I contacted Steve he came out and sorted out my ENTIRE system. My issue as related to a cowboy electrician that messed up the entire installation.
Steve sorted out Both AC and DC and my system is now working as it should, I was about to loose my mind with regards to my system and he was such a professional I can only recommend him!

Etiennet got a reaction from Coulomb in Strange issue with Solar Panels and King InverterI got it to work. King using both Solar and Utility. Was working great for a couple of days.

Etiennet got a reaction from Moderator2 in CoCGood day,
I have a question, I purchased a new house and a CoC was done, but when I moved in I realized that there is no man holes to the roof and that means that the wires inside the roof was not checked, my question is is it not mandatory that those wires inside the roof be checked?
The person that did the CoC is telling me that the circuit breakers are protecting the lights and plugs. So I just want to get my facts right regarding the CoC?

Etiennet reacted to Don in Adding of Panels. The battery volts are just fine. It seems the battery was fully charged on solar just after 13h00. The PV Watts are low at 15 W while your load is sitting around a 1000W. Seeing that the battery is fully charged, the excess solar should be going to your load. Instead it is utilising utility for load. Change the "Output Source Priority" to Solar>Utility>Battery? You want to use all available solar for load and only the shortfall should come from utility. Currently it is set to make use of utility, even if solar is available.
I have my "Bulk Charging Voltage" = 52.6V (The recommended 53.2V is too high in my view). My "Float Charge Voltage" = 52.0V. My "Battery Cut Off Voltage" = 46.0V
Your "Back to Discharge Voltage" = 54V. That is too high. Your battery will never reach that voltage. Reduce that setting to 51V.
