Good day all, may I please have your assistance, I am currently running a Dyness A48100 and Luxpower SNA 5000 as a loadshedding solution, no PV. When switched on, the battery shows all SOC lights on for 2secs (picture) then switches off. Happens with the inverter connected or disconnected. Anyone experienced something similar? Does it point to a failure of the battery?

I don't know the dyness specifically, but usually this just indicates the battery is in standby and not currently being charged or discharged and all 5 lights on indicating that it is full. Does the battery still work? What do the lights do when you turn off the AC in and add a load on the inverter?

I've seen this with a Shoto battery and that Luxpower Inverter as well. Do you get any errors / warning on the Luxpower? With the SOC lights off what happens if you activate loadshedding (turn off the mains)?

Ok thanks for the insight, when I turn off the AC, the inverter stays on but the load in the house is off. The inverter shows a reading of 0V coming from the battery although the battery lights up all SOC indicators, so the battery is not working

If I turn off the mains, the load is not powered in the house, I get a warning light on the inverter saying battery is at 0V, although all the SOC lights power up for those few seconds before turning off

What inverter settings do you have for the battery? Should be in Menu 03. All dipswitch 2 should be UP and the others down. The battery setting in menu 03 should be Lithium and Battery model 8 for Dyness.

@mzezman thats correct I have the settings as you specified, and the set up was working fine but just seized. How did you resolve the issue with the Shoto battery?

That's very bizarre... are you able to get a firmware update loaded for you by the installer?

Hi

This is Tour from after-sales department of Dyness.

1.What is the SN of the battery?

2.Are there any alarms after the battery is turned on?

3.How long does it take for the battery to turn itself off after it is turned on?

You can add my Whatsapp:+86 176 2581 2876

Best regards

If you've turned off the grid and the inverter stays on then it must be getting some power from the battery or it would just turn itself off. I am wondering if it might be a problem with the inverter as it is reading 0V. Are you able to check it there is indeed 0V on the battery terminals with a multimeter?

Hopefully @Dynesscan help you out here as they will know a lot more than me about your battery. Good luck.

Mdu, I have similar situation. Seems as if the battery is dead. And it seems zero charging occur.

Hi fwm, I spoke to @Dyness they were very helpful. The power board on mine was faulty. They instructed me to take it in to Rectron. The guys there fixed it for me. The system is now back up and running again

Hi,

I have the Luxpower Dyness combination and there is a communication failure between the two systems.  Previously I had 4 X 100ah gel batteries on the Luxpower SNA5000 but after the upgrade to Dyness A48100, it doesn't want to accept the setting #8 on Menu 3, Battery, setting.  It also switched off 2 days ago and I have no idea if the settings are correct.   I would appreciate it if someone can assist as the installer cannot assist me. Thanks

Do you have the comms cable between the Inverter and the battery? If so - is it crimped correctly?
