Depends on the inverter, I'd say, 1k8W Wolf with currently an RCT Infinisolar V2 5kW, I've seen peaks of 7-odd kW of, obviously short duration, if the inverter can handle peaks like this, then likely all will be ok, but like @BritishRacingGreen wrote, watch out where the Huskies go and don't you eat that yellow snow, no sorry, watch the dense/long grass and realise the lawnmower battling its way through this will make the motor draw much higher current and depending on the inverter, it may trip...
January 23, 20233 yr The Axpert MKS 5K (5kW) supports 10kVA for a few seconds, thats around 40A, enough to start a lawnmower. The long cable will attenuate the current.
January 23, 20233 yr Using 5kW Axpert with 2600 Watt Wolf with 25 meter extension cable for the last 5 years. Startup power 6800 Watt. Don't start on long grass and limit the the amount of startups. As we are offgrid we keep the rest of the loads low when mowing.
January 23, 20233 yr I have also run my Rolux 2600W lawn mover on my 5KW Kodak inverter. Just start in short grass or lifting it helps a lot.

January 23, 20233 yr Author Thanks for the info. I did try it this afternoon but it trips the outgoing circuit breaker which is 20 Amp. Did you perhaps now why does it happen?
January 23, 20233 yr @Inverter remember you have a 5000 W inverter @ 220 V that equal to a max of 22 Amps. trips the outgoing circuit breaker which is 20 Amp, just explain this 20 Amp circuit breaker is it the output of your inverter? if that is the case is a bit underrated. The starting current as I told you in my post above can be 5 times higher than the normal running current. So, you could be drawing up to 50 Amps for a few second, it's possible that will trip you CB. Edited January 23, 20233 yr by Antonio de Sa

There was enough sunlight ok, and I presume it tripped the breaker? yes? if so, does the lawnmower start and run from a circuit fed by the commercial power side? do you have another socket on another 20A breaker on the UPS side of the inverter you can try? maybe the breaker that tripped is a bit iffy and trips prematurely?
