June 27, 20232 yr What would a reasonable price be if you get someone out to install Solar Assistant? Keep in mind the Software is a set price. 1. Raspberry PI 2. Cabling 3. Labour Would the size of the system matter? Should it be charged at Small, Medium and Large? Thoughts?
June 27, 20232 yr Hey Raiden2912, The FAQ on the Solar Assistant site is pretty comprehensive, I used it when I purchased and installed mine. They have a pre-configured Pi with software, then you just need to get cables for your inverters and battery (if you want more stats on your battery) which they stock as well. The support email address is very responsive and quite helpful, and order to delivery took 1 day for me. I then ordered a battery cable a few days later at 09:00 and it was delivered same day at about 15:00. If you can manage it then I would say do it yourself, took me about 30-40min and most of that time was spent running the cables. My post below started out with me trying to find out how to shutdown and start up the system as I had the Solar Assistant and cables...I then just added to the post about my Solar Assistant install.

University student might help you for R100 A devops engineer might ask you R1000 Goverment contracts might value the task at R1Million+ per installation You time should be worth something to you, that should be a reasonable rate. If they want to pay the price a student may charge then at least the student will give the support too
