Can you explan how this solved the problem and why.
When my CT is not connected there is always a -22watts on the Grid Power CT. Someone told me it might be a grounding issue. So maybe this is related to this however i need to understand how and why would this solve the issue

Isn't it the inverters in parallel should use one battery bank? Because they act as one inverter when charging batteries

    Good afternoon all,
First of all @TaliaBis doing much better and is now in the general ward awaiting pathology tests that has been sent to Paris 'Laboratoire Cerba" operates on the French and international markets of specialized clinical pathology. The reason the physician had made the decision to seek specialized intervention is they can't find any traces of DVT( deep vein thrombosis) where the blood clots could have originated from and no injury or surgery that could have been the causes of the clots in the lungs.  According to @TaliaB brother they are not comfortable to discharge him until the results is known from the pathologist in France. He is taken off all oxygen and breathing freely and comfortable. He is still on blood thinning iv as a precaution measure. By the sounds of it he is now desperate to get back home to Cpt who can blame him.
Hopefully this will be my last update as i am sure he will be back on the forum soon then he can share more detailed information about the cause of the sudden blood clots.
    Regards
    Derek.

    Good evening forum members.
I just got word from @TaliaBbrother that he has been in Mauritius for the last 3 weeks for work/ vacation and has taken ill this afternoon with serious breathing problems and was admitted to C Care Wellkin hospital in Moka Mauritius Apparently he is in high care unit awaiting test from pulmonologist. I will keep the forum updated and pray 🙏 that he will be ok.
    Thank you Derek.

Alright, the battery was replaced. I've charged the first module to 100% (as the others also were), to get to the same voltage and I will set them in parallel. There's almost no difference in between cell voltages of the new module (0.014V) at 100% and no temperature increase.

Thank you very much for all your support!

you need the 24V in series to make 48V and then using Voltage as the charging method on the 5.5kw. Which inverter do you? Deye or Sunsynk?
Also check if the batteries can be connected in series, some manufacturers do not recommend it

I have no problem paying eksdom for the amount of their electricity I consume. I also have no problem paying a connection fee. However, the simple rationale is willing buyer, willing seller. Having said this, in what way does the fact that I have a solar system have anything to do with eksdom at all? Why should I have to pay more for a connection fee than people that do not have a solar system?
The same logic can then be applied to people that opt to drive Hybrid cars. Should they pay more per litre fuel than others simply because their vehicles have the capability to run off batteries?
This new tariff proposal is completely communistic in its approach.

Jakac reacted to TimCam in New ESKOM / NERSA rate and tariff proposal
@NoJ, I've been paying the municipal MCB charge in Pietermaritzburg for the last 16 years already. This charge is the basic connection fee dependent on the size of the municipal MCB, (mine is 50A). Before even 1 kW/h is consumed I pay R1068.00 for this connection. 😡 So when Eskom implements a similar structure, everyone will be paying for the corrupt "officials" and all the millions of freeloaders.
I have had enough of this corruption and freeloaders, and am planing to move to a farm and totally off-grid lifestyle, so as to no longer pay this sickening socialist "tax".
We have people living up the road on "chiefs land" who have "official" illegal power and water connections, with NO meters on water or power. Their multiple spot lights are ALL on at night. At one of the mayors meetings, I brought this and other queries up, and was told, "it's payback time, and to basically pay up and shut-up." 😡
Totally sick and tired of these double standards, so aim to no longer pay this socialist "tax", and disconnect from the system.
Question. If years ago the power and water was so affordable so as not to be a burden, what has changed?
Answer. Mismanagement, incompetence, arrogance, theft, etc....
The volume of supply and demand is NOT the issue. Even illegal connections are due to the the above Answer.
So as to the question of new rates and tariffs, my condolences to all who aim to stay on-grid. 😢

So you actually support mismanagement, theft and corruption and is 100% happy to pay for a communistic system where by those in power gets it all and the rest of the dummies must enrich the few at the top.

If they can only lie, steel and waste money for what reason must I support such a corrupt system?

They been lying and fooled you and appointed technical firms not based on knowledge but rather creaming the money for a few.  Did you perhaps forget about Zuma and the Gupta's?

There is corruption on every level and what you are saying is lets support it.

The high costs etc is not about technology its all about supporting those that can't think and therefore the manufacturing and design gets forced out of SA so that the dumb can lead the way and actually steel from the poor.

Have a look what the corrupt fake NEWS.  SABC, CNN, BBC ... combined with Google, Meta(FB) they appointed Biden and the whole world is suffering because of your "type of theory".

If technology is affordable why must we allow corrupts to steal from hardworking people?

Technology costs is not expensive the overheads of feeding the systems is  If facts shows that the amount of solar systems installed in SA is greater in KW than a power station like Koeberg which is 1900 MW/Hr, then for what reason must we pay a useless politicians to steel from us and enrich the comrade?

The problem with ESKOM and expenses is not the running and expansion of it but rather those that see it as a personal profit scheme to enrich themself without having the mental ability to create and grow.

Therefore steeling from the dumb and foolish is whats happening here and you are in support of it.
Take note I am not a supporter of any political party so its not about a party it is because we have people voting for dumb politicians why we are experiencing the high costs and the added costs.

There was a financial article that calculated the amount of installed solar in SA.  Consider this statement.

Should people be penalized for solar which is the impact of your view, you will have an immediate increase in black outs as the impact will be the same as one of the major power station outage in SA.
People who installed solar directly impacted black outs. Therefore there are less blackouts and you suggest ESKOM must penalize them because they now have less to steel.

How can this make any sense?

Jakac reacted to tertiuscpt in BMS Pace addon for Home Assistant
(Updated info further down in the post)
I create a very simple Python script to interrogate the Pace BMS as used in some popular lithium battery brands. I've also packed this as a Home Assistant add-on, but can just as well be used as either a standalone script / within a docker container.
It reports the voltage of cells, temperatures, the pack's current, voltage, SOC, SOH, and a few other metrics.
    Use at own risk.
Either a serial link to the RS232 port or via IP (using some port server over TCP) will work.
    Repository: https://github.com/Tertiush/bmspace
The script serves by needs atm, so any further developments can be done by the community.

    UPDATE:
I've rewritten most of this script using the official PACE RS232 Protocol definition. The script now supports multiple packs!
I've only implemented informational messages / retrieving data, no commands.
    Use at own risk!
Many new fields are now retrieved such as warnings, balancing data, status indications, etc.

I phoned (calls are recorded for quality purposes) and the UK sounding support lady told me their turnaround time is 2 weeks.
I then asked why I've been waiting 4 weeks now. She said they closed over Christmas. Fair enough. But I knew this, and my unit was there 2 weeks before they closed. A week after they opened again, she now told me it's going to take another 2-3 weeks, because of the "backlog".
In short. I'm not upset. Lesson learnt. Will stay away and not recommend their products in the future. If it breaks again, will pay for another brand without hesitation.

Correct, as stated in my original post above:
"but unfortunately as the Grid draw increases and the CT accuracy improves the compensation you made by adjusting the CT ratio becomes an over compensation to a small extent, and there does not appear to be any way to combat that phenomenon."
We actually need SunSynk to make some changes, treat the negative load values as zero, and stop using the negative values in their internal calcs.

The easiest way i have found is to just limit the battery power in the system work mode for the particular time. I have mine set to 2000w for the evening so it cant deplete the battery as fast when using the oven or geyser.

Jakac reacted to GreenFields in Charge Amps
The battery's management system is communicating to the inverter that the three batteries combined can accept a charge current up to a limit of 240A, and discharge up to 240A.
This is above the capabilities of the inverter, which is 190A.
In any case I'd suggest to keep to the recommended values on the spec sheet from Revov. Which is to say, only charge at 40A per battery (120A) in order to prolong the battery life. Full charge will take approx 2.5hrs at that rate, eg. when charging from grid. No real reason to push it harder, when a faster charge will only risk reducing the battery iife, and I don't see it's really necessary.
Also, it suggests don't discharge more than 60A per battery. I think there might be more than one spec sheet version, and I'm not sure which one says what, you might have one that says it's a 75A discharge per battery. But since the inverter can only do up to 190A max, I'm suggesting 180A anyway.
Hope this makes sense. Always open to alternative opinions.
