He did contact me as well last night & was in high spirits albeit not in the best shape. Godspeed to him & his family in this difficult time. He has been such a massive contributor to this forum & I hope he continues to do so. If I hear from him I will also revert.

Good afternoon forum members,

Update regarding @TaliaBprogress in hospital. I spoke to his wife this morning and was given permission to post what happened his symptoms and his progress. He suffered a pulmonary embolism and had difficultity breathing. He was placed under sedation for the past 2 days and is currently receiving high flow oxygen therapy and was placed on an Streptokinase drip to dissolve the blood clots in his lungs. He is still in high care unit and not out of the woods just yet but doctors are positive of a full recovery after blood clots are dissolved and clears.

Derek.

Oh no! he's such a generous and knowledgable contributor to this forum. I hope he pulls through and is restored for full health. Embolisms are well understood and are treatable these days, so I'm sure he will be OK.

Almost certainly there was deep vein thrombosis first. I have had at least 3 DVTs (per the specialist, who could see the scarring in my veins) though none of them resulted in an embolism. In my case it's genetic, and I have to be on anti-coagulants for life.

The reason I relate this is that if you get swelling, throbbing pain, and/or reddening  in a limb (usually one limb, usually a leg) then don't tough your way through it. Please go to a doctor and get it checked out. As with embolisms, the condition is well understood these days and treatment has a high success rate. Tests for genetic conditions (as I have) are also simple and reliable now.

Morning all,

Spoke to his wife this morning, he is moved from high care to Icu and placed on a ventilator as the high flow oxygen treatment is no longer viable. They will surgically ( Pulmonary thromboendarterectomy (PTE) ) remove the 2 clots in his right lung that has not been dissolved by the IV medication. He is scheduled for 12 today in Mauritiun time 2 hours ahead of SA. The specialist is positive for a favorable outcome. I will report any further news.

Have a good Saturday.

Good evening,

I had word from @TaliaBexhausted wife after a very long day at hospital as the surgery lasted 10 hours. The physician said that the procedure was a success and both clots was removed. He will be in ICU for the next couple of days. He was removed from the ventilator and back on high flow oxygen treatment that is a good sign. Futher as precaution he is receiving anti coagulant medication and antibiotics through iv placed in the main artery in the neck. His brothers and wife has also joined the family today so from here forward i am sure all will be on the up and up. Thanks to all on the forum for rallying your support around him it is much appreciated by the family.

Have a good evening

Derek.

Good afternoon all,

First of all @TaliaBis doing much better and is now in the general ward awaiting pathology tests that has been sent to Paris 'Laboratoire Cerba" operates on the French and international markets of specialized clinical pathology. The reason the physician had made the decision to seek specialized intervention is they can't find any traces of DVT( deep vein thrombosis) where the blood clots could have originated from and no injury or surgery that could have been the causes of the clots in the lungs.  According to @TaliaB brother they are not comfortable to discharge him until the results is known from the pathologist in France. He is taken off all oxygen and breathing freely and comfortable. He is still on blood thinning iv as a precaution measure. By the sounds of it he is now desperate to get back home to Cpt who can blame him.

Hopefully this will be my last update as i am sure he will be back on the forum soon then he can share more detailed information about the cause of the sudden blood clots.

Regards

Derek.

Good evening all after being out of action due to above medical reasons. I will keep this short so we can concentrate on solar matters.
It was close for me leaving this life. I am thankful for world class physician and surgeons in the C care Welkin hospital in Moka. Special thanks to my wife that endured the long waits at the hospital.

Just a brief summary as to what got me in hospital.

I was originally admitted for hypoxemia where my blood oxygen saturation was below 82%.with 3 blood clots in the lungs.

I was diagnosed (Laboratoire Cerba) in Paris with a clotting disorder called thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS), and it is rare—an updated safety analysis showed that, as of March 19 out of more than 2.2 million people who got J&J,Vaccines 294 cases of TTS were reported and thirty people died due to clots in the lungs. I am currently on Rivaroxaban (Anticoagulants) under the brand name Xarelto.

I will be home soon to rest for a while before getting into my daily routine.

Many many thanks for all you guys that rallied your support around me in my diffucult time it is highly appreciated.

Forgive me if any above is written a bit bonkers i am still very queasy from the op and all the medications that is now finding their way out the body.

Have a good evening.

So great to see you back on the road to recovery, may you go from strength to strength to a full recovery as soon as possible.👍

Unfortunately, it was not just the J&J that had unhappy side-effects, some colleagues at work now have serious medical conditions due to "needing to fly" during the plandemic, which required the jab.

Hope to see you fully engaged in solar discussions again.😀

Glad to hear you're OK. I've enjoyed your contributions to this forum. They're very helpful to folks like me who have a little bit of (mostly outdated) knowledge.
