May 16, 20197 yr Hi Johan, What is your current charging rate and what is the max your inverter can do? Note that your current fuses etc probably covers only two. So if you combine it they will need upgrades.

May 17, 20197 yr Works great. The batteries are already balancing nicely. Most evidence of this is that the fully charged (combined system) voltage is creeping upwards.

May 18, 20197 yr @Kite Treat the US3000 just like another US2000. - Same bank. - Turn off the batteries. - Put the US3000 on the TOP. - Connect the black and red power cables. - Connect US3000 LinkPort1 to US2000 LinkPort0. - Turn on the batteries.

You can bring the two banks (one bank containing the US2000s and the other bank the single US3000) together (in parallel) at the battery disconnect/a busbar/the connection into the inverter... fused battery disconnect preferred. May 20, 20197 yr @PaulinNorthcliff Just take a closer look - it's noted on the page four: "If system include US3000, always use US3000 as master battery. If without US3000, always use latest manufactured module as master." So the correct way to do it is to put US3000 on the top (master) connect the data cables and connect the power cables. Speaking of power cables, it does not matter if you use short cables with SurLock and make a single stack or if you use two sets of long cables and parallel the two banks. If you have just a single US3000 and 2 or 3 US2000, then I would be okay with short SurLock cables. If you have a rack full of batteries, I would use two or more sets of dedicated long cables to support the higher currents. For example, I'm using 7xUS3000 in my LAB, so I used two sets of the longer cables. Edited May 20, 20197 yr by Youda
September 3, 20205 yr Good day The above is useful thanks however I have tried to connect the US3000 as the master battery (adding to an existent bank of 5 x US2000plus). The comms seems to not be working between the master US3000 and the CCGX (Victron). When I remove the US3000 and put the comms cable (TypeB) back into the CAN port of the US2000 the CCGX picks up the original bank of 5 batteries immediately. Is there something I am missing here? Or should I be putting the batteries in parallel with separate battery cables to the main fuse disconnect - I don't see how this helps except possibly the internal fusing? If i do it this way then should I just link the comms cables between batteries the same way? I would be grateful for some advice Thanks

I’m new to this but seems to work with 1x US3000 set as Master. All others are slaves. Only issue I get is ME3000 Inverter set to charge batteries at night with virtually free electric however I get BatOV alarm every night when bank reaches 94.5% SOC. Don’t know how to resolve this. Am I damaging the batteries? It should I separate into 2x separate banks allow BMS to control each bank. Join banks on fused isolated bus bar then into my inverter. Help needed please from anyone???
