  1. I am using the PSU from SA, yes it's connected directly to the battery and as mentioned it does come with a fuse on the positive side.
  2. What happened with the fraud case was he released?
  3. I had exactly the same problem with my 8KW Deye and 3 batteries topping out at 50Amp charge rate, Last week I restarted the batteries and the inverter and my issue went away now charging much faster not sure what caused this.
  4. HI Willie, What is your Max Charge current set to on your inverter?
  5. Mine does the same, I have the suspision that the temperature shown is not a true reflection of the actual temperature of the water.
  6. Hi LD, What type of geyser do you have? I see your temperatures reach 70 degrees, I have been too scared to go above 60 degrees. J
  7. I would be very carefull details on the website creation:
  8. I had the same issue after I got my inverter back from repairs. Tried another dongle no success. I ended up just getting Solar Assistant. The only issue now is firmware upgrades won't be possible without the dongle.
  9. Have a look here they have samples for each inverter: https://solar-assistant.io/help/automation/table
  10. There is a company in Europe all of these site use to register 1API. Solarmart was also registered with this company about 5 months ago. See this thread:
  11. How many units are loaded on the meter currently when you moved in maybe there are already R650 loaded on the meter, I can't see how you are liable for arrears as you just moved in.
  12. Do a google search there are some people on facebook complaining as well.
  13. Is everything still running normally? My screen died and I had to replace the screen, but on the app I could see the inverter was still working correctly. They send a new screen to my installer and he replaced the screen complete with replacement warranty stickers.
  14. HI All, I have a 8Kw Deye inverter with 3 LBSA batteries, my max charge is set to 100Amp, this was working but at some stage my batteries only started charging at Max 50Amp. Is this normal or am I missing something?
  15. Hi, I see this in the manual: The recommended maximum depth of discharge (DOD)of Battery PACK is no more than 85%.
  16. Same happened to me in January this year, lost my inverter, both my batteries, Electric Fence Energizer, Alarm System, Gate motor and many more things. I don't think there is much to be done to protect your home from a strike like this it is very unfortunate, luckily Insurance covered everything and my batteries and Inverter could be repaired. Make sure you go through your house and test every device you have, learned this the hard way.
  17. Just tell them to come remove the transformer you are not going to transfer it to you name, you will be fine with enough batteries and the decent genset you have.
  18. Toxxyc, my father has a farm not farm from you, he is currently running 8Kw inverter with 30 * 335w Panels (facing west and east), he has 3 * 5.1kw batteries. The system has been live for 3 years and he is very close to paying back the investment with the savings he has achieved by disconnecting Eskom (the farm had quite a big transformer installed) Some changes he has made so far: Gas geyser which he feeds inline with a Solar Geyser. Replace Oven with Gas hob and gas oven and he also bought a decent Generator for the cloudy weeks which does come every now and then. There are several Fridges and Freezers which are on timers to switch off at night.
  19. Hi Zabdab, I purchased the geyserwala about two or 3 months ago and have been really happy with the product. No more guesswork or walking up and down to go check temperatures. The graphs on the app could be a bit better it is very basic, but the ability to boost the temperature helps when you need the extra temperature to keep the wife happy. It is very easy to create and delete timers on the app. It was very easy to install and get the geyserwalla up and running.
  20. What happens when you turn them on without there being grid power?
  21. JacoG replied to Jeppe's topic in Inverters
Which lights are on? On the logger?
  22. I also got the Thingwala and I am very happy with the product.
  23. Thanks guys, I have set the timer as you said for future issues, turns out my one battery was switched off when I went to check this morning, not sure why no alerts or warnings.
  24. Hi All, I had the strangest thing this morning, my system have been running for quite some time(Everything is on essentials), this morning when my geyser came on the battery only supplied some of the load and the rest was drawn from the grid. Battery state of charge was 60%. Has this happened to anyone?
