  1. Clint I had the same, eventually got a new logger which also did not work, so I switched to Solar Assistant, I think my coms port is dead.
  2. How will this work like a fibre rollout? Will the new provider have to provision their infrastructure/cables to the homes?

I have the same issue, gave up after a while, I believe there is something wrong with my com port, because my screen was replaced under warranty and when I got it back my logger was not communicating with the inverter. Have tried to update the firmware on the logger with no success, ended up getting Solar Assistant with the RS cable.
  4. Same issue I had on my mesh system also Deco, keep scanning the network under optimize network until you get another channel for 2.4Mhz also strugled with my cameras until I found the right channel. I don't know why they don't give us the option to choose our own channels.
  5. Which mesh system do you have? Make sure your network is set to 2.4 and 5Mhz networks. I had the same issue with my house alarm and could not get it to connect, the problem is certain devices cannot communicate on certain channels, in my case I cannot set the channel and had to keep scanning my network for the TP-link app to change the channel before it eventually worked.
  6. If you have everything on essential have you tried selecting zero export to load? I had this same issue after council replaced my pre-paid meter (I noticed my pre paid usage was not inline with what the inverter showed) I think something might not be right with my ct coil installation, but this helped me, as soon as my batteries are full now my pv production tapers down. Also what @GreenFields said try to change it to battery first and check if this helps. If my understanding is right zero export to ct is needed for the smart load function if you want to send excess power to non essentials? Can someone confirm?
  7. I also still have those Eskom replacement LED's they are the best.
  8. Can you upload a picture of your time of use screen on the inverter?
  9. I can't answer around the heat loss but I can provide my own experience, I have a 200l geyser and replaced the element with a 3kw element, in summer my geyser runs from 10:00 to 14:00 and set to heat to 65 degrees, in winter there is a extra cycle in the mornings from 5:00 to 6:00 set to 50 degrees, this works for us 3 grown ups and 2 children. The kids bath at night and we take 3 hot showers in the morning. The geyser heats from Solar during the day and I have enough battery to heat the morning cycle so no eskom is used to heat water.
  10. Hi Maffs, If your aim is to save on grid usage you can bring your SOC down to 30% or even lower depending on what your battery manufacturer suggests. I also have a geyserwise and only run my geyser from 10:00 to 14:00 in summer to 65 degrees. In Winter my geyser has a second cycle from 5:30 to 6:30 but only to 50 degrees. This works for me and I seldom use more than 4kw/h per day. You did not mention how many batteries you have.
  11. I had an issue where my Max discharge was too low so my inverter restarted when eskom was not available, but your's looks ok not sure what the max discharge is for your batteries.
  12. You need to show us the same graph but include your battery state of charge, it is possible your batteries was full and you were generating more PV than you where using.
  13. Hi, which batteries do you have? And what is your max discharge current currently set to?
  14. What happens at 18:00 and then again at 21:00 is your geyser running at that time?

Connect to the ip address of the dongle if the old wifi is still available , there you can find the new wifi and update the dongle. If your old wifi is not available anymore you can reset the dongle (I think hold the button in for 10 seconds) and start the config over on the solaman app.
  16. Update: I ordered one from SA yesterday and to my surprise it arrived today and there is already a fuse attached.
  17. Thank you Talia, I was worried about just connecting straight to the battery, where did you buy that fuse Holder?
  18. I have 3 batteries in parallel, do I just connect the 12v power supply to the terminals of one battery? https://solar-assistant.io/shop/products/dc_usb_psu
  19. They visited me and inspected my pre-paid meter and then moved the meter to the street and that was it.
  20. Skillet, unfortunately mine had to get a replacement screen module.

I struggled yesterday, one thing I noticed, on the verify step you have to connect your phone back to the Loggers APN then verify goes through.
  22. I am struggling to get my logger to log any data. My inverter was struck by lightning in January and was repaired by Deye, when I got it back I noticed the stick logger was dead. A couple of days after this the screen died on my inverter, I then bought a new logger and this did not work it seems like the comms port is somehow connected to the screen as the logger did not even power up. Fast forward to now, the screen was replaced and everything is working normally except my logger which I have managed to connect to the internet and link to my plant, but I see no data pulling through to solarman, I have also noticed the comms light on the logger is not on. Any suggestions? I have reset the logger removed it from the port and reinserted nothing is working.
  23. Do you have your Geyser on the system? I run my geyser from 10:00 to 16:00.
  24. Herman did you sort your's out? I have the same issue.
  25. Hi Glen The same thing happened to my Deye inverter over the weekend, did you manage to sort this out?
