compatible with lithium batteries

I doubt it, none of the cheapies usually have enough settings to allow Voltage control of Lithium batteries and none, that I've seen have any BMS comms options... best to avoid these, unless you love wasting money on lead acid type batteries...

Spot on. The only setting of note as per the manual is the cut out voltage adjustable 10-12V. The 3kVA Synapse does have charge settings and Bluenova seems to OK it for use with their 12V drop in batteries.

Thanks for the replies appreciate it. So what about these 7ah lithium batteries for house alarms and gate motors how will they charge?

All lithiums will have the same problem being charged by the inverter. Although it seems it will charge a lithium up to 13.7V but will never be able to balance due to the low bulk voltage. 14.2V at least is required.

Hello. This might be a stupid question but am a newbie to this new world of inverters, thanks to Eskom. Someone gave me a synapse 1000w inverter and when I plugged the inverter into the wall socket and pressed the on button nothing happened. I came across some info about a Meccer inverter where if the inverter is not connected to the batteries, the unit won't switch on...is this the case with the synapse 1000w inverter or is the inverter just not working? I wasn't given the manual and cannot find it anywhere on the internet. Please help this newbie.
