Dyness Battery Technical Support

I would like to know if there is a firmware update for the A48100 range of batteries? There is nothing wrong with them but if there is a firmware update with improvements - it would be good to know. I have had mine running for almost 2 years now with no issues

Hi,

Thank you for the question, on the A48100 the software upgrade is done to fix the comms compatibility issue with the inverter. In a case were comms to the inverter is fine the software upgrade is not recommended.

please feel free to contact us for any technical support

my question was whether there have been new firmware releases on the battery side and if any improvements have bene made from this firmware?

There are new firmware releases and they do come with improvements in terms of bms communications but battery performance will be standard.

Great thank you. Is there any way for users to upgrade that firmware or is it only by taking the batteries into a workshop?

It is usually done by either the distributor or the  Dyness Technical Support engineers, Please feel free to contact me on email we will discuss further.

Dear Godwell

I hope this finds you well.

I have 3 x Dyness 4800 batteries hooked up to a Sunsynk 8KVA inverter. We are having an issue where the batteries are tripping if the load on the batteries exceeds 3KW.

If I understand correctly, at a discharge rate of 0.5C, the batteries should be able to handle a max load of 4.8 x 3 x 0.5 = 7.2 KW. With the batteries tripping at 3KW, Im getting less than half the load.

See below the current battery settings on my inverter:

Please help!

I don't work for dyness or know all their products, but by 4800, do you mean the A48100 or 4.8kW? If so then yes, you should be getting more that 3.6kW before any trips. I use 2 x Dyness B3 and they can hit 4.2kW without tripping.f so then yes, 8100

Have you got the discharge setting at 150A on the inverter?

Good day these mail addresses don't work

Good day,

Dyness A48100 X 2

I have been in contact with Luxpower regarding my system that keeps saying overload every night just after 00:00. They have made all the changes to settings on the inverter but it keeps doing the same thing.

They then told me that my BMS might need a firmware update.

Will yoube able to help with this? Or where can I go to do the update?

Regards

Hallo, Some bad experience with Dyness Techical support. I react to this post and contacted Ludwe in Cape Town last year about a faulty 3.6Kwh B3. He told me to take it to CNBM at the Cape Town Airport. I handed it in on the 20 November 2023. I contact Ludwe via e'mail on the 4/12/2023. He told me they are working on it and or may replace it. It went quiet for a while. This year on the 5 February I went back to CNBM to look for my Battery. They could not found it and told me Ludwe does not work there anymore. They promised me that they would found it and let me know. No phone call. I went back there on the 12 of March. I told them I won't leave without my battery. Everybody was looking and they found it but must put it together. They then asked if they can fully charged it overnight. I agree. Obviously they must checked it out. I picked it up the next morning. It is still FAULTY. It Discharge normal until it hit 57% then it rapidly discharge. When you charge it it charge normal till 72% and then just shoot up to 100%

I got 4 of these batteries and they are all registered with Dyness.

Good Morning.

I have 16 PV panels with 8kw Dyness Inverter.

Installed with a 5.12KW Dyness battery. Every thing worked perfect for 2 years.

The I installed a second Dyness Battery 5.12Kw. Now the batteries only charge to 81%.

What could be the issue?

Please

Discharge the batteries to just above 20% SOC and recharge. Even try doing it 2 times and see on the 3rd recharge it they reach higher than 81%.

With no formal LS charging at a low rate would be better than at the maximum charge current.

Hi There

We have a couple of BX51100 batteries that are about 3 years old and discovered that the batteries only read a capacity of 50Ah. Can this be resolved with a firmware update or how can we reset the batteries to run at the original 100Ah capacity?

Hi

Have Deye 8kw

2x dyness BX5100, plan to double up when i have saved

1. What is the recommended settings? Discharge rate etc?

2. How do i do the software update to the batterries?

Im currently only discharging to 45% to 50% to prolong batterry life. I need them to last around 15 years if possible?

Typical Dyness discharge rate is 0.5c so 5kw of your 10kwh bank. When you get to 20kwh you can then push that up to 10kw discharge

Is there something that's not working that requires a software update? As far as i am ware there is no user-facing process / system for this - perhaps your installer can help with that.

Hi, upgrade options?

I have 2x bx51100 5kw batterries.

I see now there is a 10kw dyness battery avaialble. If i want to add more batteries can i only add other dyness bx51100s? Or can i add a 10kw dyness batterry  to my system?

Would rather go 10kw as its more convenient. Can i have 2x bx51100  and then add a 10kw  dyness to that?
