March 8, 20242 yr Hi, I have started to use Solar Assistant in my 4 parallel inverter configuration, just connecting de Rpi to one inverter, and the readings are wrong except for the inverter directly connected to the Rpi. solar Assistant guys asked me to check the firmware version, and 3 of them have 81.06 and the last one 81.03. Is this the last version available? Here can I get it to flash the different one? Thanks in advance... Jorge
March 8, 20242 yr The latest 81.xx that I have is 81.07. You could update them all to that. I have a vague feeling that it won't fix the problem, but I can't recall why, sorry. I can't recall where I found this; use at your own risk. MAXII_8K_81.07.rar
March 13, 20242 yr Author Thanks! I have just found it here: https://ftps.voltronic.com.tw/V/Voltacon-7FCA9E24D07246188EAD/MAXII_8K_81.07.7z It looks like it is from 2024/2/20

April 28, 20242 yr Hi, I see firmware 72.72 for Max 8k, is the upgrade worth it from 72.66 (272.66 modified by @Coulomb) If it is the case Can you fix premature float bug in order to test it I also see remote panel 12.28, Can I upgrade ? For what panel chip is it intended ? Thanks a lot !

These seem to be popular with owners that have a Pylontech or other battery with a BMS that the inverters or monitoring software can talk to. I also see that 272.66 is one of my early minimalist patches that didn't do the full suite of Georg's MPPT patches. That makes it PV voltage independent, but it seems that the full suite is still the best. Would there be demand for a set of X72.72 patches, all with the premature float bug fixed, and several minimum PV voltage options? I haven't done a patch set in a while, and I'd like to not have the rust set in too badly 🤎🤓 On 2024/04/28 at 3:24 PM, sharkut said: I also see remote panel 12.28, Can I upgrade ? For what panel chip is it intended ? If you currently run 12.xx or 112.xx, then yes. Since 12.21, they are all chipset independent (if only they realised they could do something similar with the main firmwares as well!). I don't know what the differences are with 12.28, though I'll take a look tonight. Edited May 29, 20242 yr by Coulomb

As you might expect from seven minor update versions, there are quite a few differences between 12.21 and 12.28. Most of them seem to be concerned with talking to a battery BMS.
April 28, 20242 yr If you have time I'm interested of course (200v PV voltage) maybe other people interested too ?

I have been running that version as of october 2023. I have been away for almost six months now, and I wonder if a new firmware version has been developed for the Max II - 8K. Maybe Coulomb has an idea, or even has it in his collection. Thanks beforehand for any info. Kurt
June 19, 20241 yr I'll post this here for ease of finding, having discussed it slightly a few posts back. This is factory display/communications firmware version 12.28 for the Axpert MAX E non-twin series. It may be usable with other models IF the existing firmware is version 12.xx or 112.xx. This version is not chipset dependent. Do not use with models that don't come with display firmware version x12.xx. Use at your own risk. Firmware upload instructions for models with a removable display. Remote Panel_Reflash_MCU(12.28).rar Edited June 19, 20241 yr by Coulomb
June 19, 20241 yr Thank you for the info Coulomb, but I was merely enquiring if there are more recent versions above 81.07 for the Max-II 8K and 20.22 for the display. It seems extremely hard to find such info over the net. (But I seem to remember that there is a place where you compiled a library of the firmware. Only, for the life of me, I cannot find it anywhere... But thanks anyway. Kurt

December 3, 20241 yr Hi @Coulomb, did the firmware work for my Axpert Max 8Kw 48V (the Big Yellow One) i have bought recently ? My firmware is quitely older. Information in attachements. Best Regards

You can use any of the 90.06 based patched firmwares. But I suggest that you use 46.71 now, available here. It should work the same with any panel configuration, and I believe it will work almost as well as the patched firmwares. It's almost 2 years old now, but it should still be better than your existing firmware, which I believe is about 15 month older again.

Thanks @Coulomb The upgrade worked like a charm 👍 The patched firmwares add more improvements and stability ? The 46.71 firmware has the premature float bug ? It's company policy, evidently. The VM firmwares have the bug implemented completely differently, in a completely different part of the firmware, compared to all the other firmwares. So it's firmly entrenched. For reasons that continue to elude me, people don't seem to be all that bothered by this bug. So I've stopped making noise about it, and just quietly fixing it in virtually any firmware that I patch.

December 9, 20241 yr Hello friends, greetings from Ukraine! I have an Axioma ISMPPT BFP 8000 inverter. I know that the component base is similar to MPPT Solar, Altek, Qpawer, and I have a question, is it possible to reflash it with firmware to the 11 kilowatt version? I looked at the reviews, the power elements of 8 and 11 kilowatts match. Maybe someone has already done this upgrade? Can you tell me which firmware is suitable for my inverter. I would be very grateful if someone gives a detailed comment. Here are photos of the model and the software that it currently has.

December 13, 20241 yr I have 8 solar panels, each with a capacity of 330 watts, connected to an 8 kW inverter and a 10 kW Felicity battery. Some time ago, I did a software update for the battery and things were good, but after a while I noticed that the charging ampere dropped to 10 amperes, and when I removed the BMC cable, things returned to normal. Is this problem due to the inverter or not? Note that U1 76.04 U2 39.09

I assume you mean BMS cable. That could be normal, if the battery was nearing full, or the cells were unbalanced. I'm trying to decide whether your inverter is a clone. The QR code points to ags dubai dot com, and not https. Usually the QR code is "busier" (more dots because more characters). But that might just be a customisation that resellers are allowed to ask for.

But it might be the display/comms firmware, since that firmware talks to the BMS. What is your present U2 (MCU, display/comms) firmware version? Edit: I first assumed it was a non-twin, then realised that the sticker says Twin. If it's 38.xx, then the latest I have is 38.11, which is well over a year old now.
