Hello guys, need your help

I've expanded my old system

the old voltronic axpert king has these firmware

U1 71.41

U2 01.12

U3 00.21

U4 00.00

and the new one

U1 71.93

U2 02.60

U3 00.24

U4 00.00

Which firmware versions can I upgrade my inverters to connect them in parallel? and from where can I get it?

thanks a lot

That's a fairly old removable display firmware, with a different major version number (01) than the available firmwares (02.xx).

Certainly, the two inverters will not parallel as they stand. Nothing with main firmware version 71.86 or earlier will parallel with main firmware version 71.92 or later; the "compatibility ID" or "paralleling constant" changed.

The problem is whether the hardware changed or not between models that came with main firmware version 71.41 and those that come with 71.93. At least, those have the same major version number. It may be that only the removable display hardware changed, but I certainly don't recommend running a very new main firmware and a very old removable display firmware.

I think your only realistic option is to pose this question to your supplier, who will likely have to send the question to Voltronic HQ to be answered properly. They should be able to supply suitable firmware to update your older model if that's possible. If it turns out that you can run 71.93 and 02.49 (main and removable display respectively), then it happens that we have the update files for those here on this forum (in the files section).

It's a real shame that this sort of information isn't readily available from the manufacturer or their resellers.

I had one of the first models.  So old that the only reference I could find to my firmware version when I google is the posts I made. (main firmware was 71.40 and display firmware was 01.00 IIRC).

I was able to update successfully to 71.93 and 02.49

So if there were hardware updates, it didn't seem to matter.

It is not clear whether the flashing process failed or whether the new firmware is incompatible with your old hardware.

Some questions that might help:

1. What was the old firmware version?  What is the new version you flashed with?

2. Have you re-tried the flashing?  If so, what exactly happens - do you get any response at all when you click on "Update MCU"?

3. If flashing still works, have you tried re-flashing with older remote panel firmware?

4. Is the serial connection (to say Watchpower) still working?

I am sharing few pics of update

Update of inverter was successful and update of lcd was also successful but when I tried to update dsp display disappeared

That's normal. While the display firmware is being updated, part of it (initially all of it) is solid FFs, so the firmware can't be running to update the display. So the display will always blank when doing a removable display firmware update.

What should happen at the end when you get the success message on the reflash app is that the inverter should immediately reboot, starting with the usual countdown 06 ... 05 ... It actually starts at 08, but it seems to be too busy initialising to show the first count or two.

That's a good idea. I see from the photo of the sticker that your machine was manufactured in October 2018, so it's possible that the latest removable display firmware is "too new" for your hardware.

Don't panic about not being able to see anything on the display, just keep trying to update the removable display (MCU) firmware. I'd start with 02.00 and work upwards. [ Edit: I see you're doing that already. ]

The other thing is that you have an Inverex King. I don't know their relationship with Voltronic Power. My guess is that they are a good customer, and get some privileges (which they no doubt pay for), like a custom LC Display with Inverex prominent on it. They also get 200 W of extra rated power, which you have probably lost with the update to Axpert firmware.

BTW, you appear to have updated to Axpert King firmware version 71.94, even though you said you updated to 71.95. Did you perhaps do both and uploaded the screen photo of only the first one?

Thanks for faster reply

I just flashed remote panel mcu U2 02 00 and this screen apprearing

Any previous mcu firmware that resolves screen issue ??

02.00 is the earliest removable display firmware that I have (for Kings).

I didn't even notice that the screen is broken, sorry. My guess is that this is because Inverex LC Displays are different to that of other Axperts, so you'll have to get Inverex/Aerox removable display firmware from your supplier. In the mean time, it seems that the display is at least mostly usable.

Well, a big improvement over a blank screen 🤨

Only solution in my mind is either I get another display or smilar firmware that might solve my issue however no other possibilities

In mean time I'll download other mcu firmware and patch with hit and trail and see if anything helps
