October 26, 20232 yr I would like to add that on firmware from 2016, when saving data got error 17 on display also. I have standart VDE0126 and what i have checked it is wrong for Poland, so i will change to VDE4105
October 26, 20232 yr I'd try that with 2020-04 firmware. Maybe just the configuration parameters in flash are f***ed up and production works after setting it up newly.
October 26, 20232 yr Done, after restart inverter tried once to synchronize with net and returned error 03, on solarpower inwerter started to blink red and was disconected from everything ( that solarpower and LCD showed)
October 26, 20232 yr I found that with new firmware there is posibility to set EN50549 and this is correct for Poland, VDE4105 is the same, but on both production is not starting.
October 26, 20232 yr Capture debug logs - maybe we can find the reason. Did you try to set serial with the tool and the ^S003ID command?
October 26, 20232 yr I,m thinkig about setup machine with acces for you by TeamViewer or other support tool, maybye it will save your time
October 27, 20232 yr Connect your PC to the inverter with a RS232 cable. Then start communication tool, choose correct COM port, 2400 baud. Set everything like postet in the picture, except add your real serial# from type shield of your inverter. Then click "Send" to send it to inverter. (dont forget to check "Use CRC"). This will issue a command to the inverter which (hopefully) changes the serial# from 000000 to your real one.
October 27, 20232 yr Hi, thx for information, I will try, can you tyme me comannd ( as i understood it should be ^S and serialnumber, is it correct? looks to simple ... i think i'have missunderstood you
October 27, 20232 yr I'm afraid this will not work with this tool. You could try to a string that looks like this to your inverter: ^S003ID2096161605100123000000<CRC> Command Length Serial Checksum Send me you full serial via PM, I'll calculate the correct CRC for you. Never tried changing serial this way, but I don't have any other idea to fix this.
October 27, 20232 yr Hi, I have sent you mail with sn. Today I have connected the other infinisolar 10k, it has the same firmware as first and strange, his sn is also 000000000000000, ad when i try to entar it via app for serial got the same result. In this one i never tried to upgrade firmware. So i would like to set sn in both inverters if it is possible
October 28, 20232 yr Hi again, I think i have to check communication with inverter. I'm using USB for usb connection and real rs232 for serial connestion. AS you know i can upload by RS232 firmware to inwerter. But when im traying to send commands using communucation tool (QPI, QT, QMD) i got reply like ^0 a ( the same on RS232 and USB port). Is there any other way to check communication with inwerter by serial?
December 24, 20232 yr Hi @riogrande75 Can you help me with firmware upgrade as well? Model on Sticker: InfiniSolar10KW-PAR-B Serial on Sticker: 961617061xxxxx Using Up/Down buttons here's the info I get: u1 17-04-06 b1 values on left column: 370 370 50 Firmware version as shown in SNMP Web pro: 00001.01 I want to update firmware to take advantage of BMS communication with Narada or Pylontech batteries. Is it possible to update SNMP firmware as well? It's currently: 1.0.6
December 24, 20232 yr You can take firmware dated 2020/04/02 from my post above - this is the latest firmware available for your device. Whatfor are you using SNMP card?
December 24, 20232 yr Just now, riogrande75 said: You can take firmware dated 2020/04/02 from my post above - this is the latest firmware available for your device. Whatfor are you using SNMP card? The last guy had the serial number erased when he did firmware update, is there a chance same will happen to my inverter? Any chance of inverter failure altogether? SNMP web card is basically for energy monitoring - although its quite terrible at data collection. Thinking of getting Solar Assistant, since there aren't any other good options for InfiniSolar.
December 24, 20232 yr This was obviously a clone. There are lot's of clones out there. If you send me a photo of your type shield via pm, I'd try to verify if your inverter seems to be genuine. Anyhow, setting the serial number is not a big deal.
December 24, 20232 yr Is there a firmware update available for SNMP Web card as well? About inverter fw, if the new one doesn't work, is the one currently installed on mine (17-04-06) available? so I can revert back to that one. Edit: Since you're familiar with these, do you know the fan part number for these? Mine are 5 years old and they make considerable noise now. I'm thinking about replacing them with quiet ones. After firmware update, would BMS communication with lithium battery work via RS232/usb port or would I still need modbus card? Edited December 24, 20232 yr by LionKing
December 25, 20232 yr No, don't have new fw for the snmp card. It's in fact very uncommon. Even I collected many fw files for the infinisolar inverters over the years, I don't have your specific version. Closest is dated 2017/03/20. I dont know your setup (smartmeter, etc.) so it's hard to say what you need to connect the bms. What I can say, you need extra hw (e.g. dual-modbus-box, bms-card) or do it in software (like I do).

December 25, 20232 yr Hard to say for sure, if your device is genuine or not. Anyhow the "clones" from other factories than voltronic all run same fw. Cloners don't spend time (=money) in developing their own fw. The risk is quite low on the old devices like yours, as you can flash other fw over and over again, even if a fw comes up with errors. I made my own scripts for reading data, controlling functions (smartmeter, bms). If you "speak" some php check it out: infinipoll10k
December 25, 20232 yr Do I need to update inverter fw to get BMS support, would just getting a modbus card also be enough, or do I need to do both to get proper bms support with Narada/pylontech lithium batteries?
